QUESTION! Why did you draw a trace before drawing the darker line in digital drawing software? Don't you only do the tracing thing when using hand?

and btw, beautiful work. @AinoMinako9 it's common for artists to draw traditionally or sketch in other software first. sometimes they even sketch in the same software. after the sketch is done, the image is faded and the artist inks the final lines on another layer. so she was not cheating. all artists do this. it's called drafting. when the draft is done, you switch to inking the best lines of the sketch.

just a tip for ppl who might not know :3

when making a new layer to draw on, it will ask you if you want raster or vector.

choosing raster will cause lines to appear smooth when you shrink the image, but it will come out jagged when near actual size.

choosing vector will cause all the lines you draw with your tablet to be smooth no matter what size the image is. i know raster has its benefits to do i guess. but if you want completely smooth lines, pick "vector". just try it. it works :3

I recommend the intous 4 tablet by wacom (sorry if I spelled intous wrong!) the medium size is best. You can purchase it on amazon but it's expensive so buy it on black Friday if you have a tight budget. I use the intous and it's worth the money!

I know it probably saves a lot of time (if I'm doing a background it usually takes 8 hours total for me to do a drawing, about 3 if im just doing a person. Rough, ink, shading.) but I couldn't see myself doing drawings using a tablet and software. I adore the feel of a pencil in my hand too much lol. To be honest my heart skips a beat whenever I think about being a mangaka and when I'm working in my sketchbook I get "Did you draw that?!" reactions from strangers. It makes my day lol.

@JohnnyLProductions well, Manga studio debut is more for the beginners and amateurs or just casual drawing... while Manga studio EX is more for professionals...you can still buy manga studio ex even if you are a noob (like me XD), just that you might not be used to it.If you wanna buy manga studio debut, you should buy manga studio debut 4 as it got more features than the 3.0 version...as for EX im not very sure abt it......hope this helped :D
