Knopfler is amazing on guitar. But I keep half expecting him to tell jokes, as he looks like a slightly older version of Jerry Seinfeld!!!

Mark Knopfler is one of the most gifted guitar players to ever play the instrument, he has an effortless style. My only gripe with him is that unlike countless players like Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Roy Buchanon, Joe satriani, Eric Johnson etc etc etc he has not persued a 'Guitar player' carreer, instead i think, he sees himself as a songwriter first and foremost, which for me is his problem because his songs are middle of the road and average JUST PLAY YOUR GUITAR!!!!!
