  • best 'night driving' song of the 1980's bar none

  • @christschinwon I know exactly what you mean. I was driving home in my 1973 VW Beetle at night with this on.

  • One of the best film soundtracks of all time. I honestly thought this was the Psychedelic Furs for awhile until i bought the LP, the lead singer sounds a lot like Richard Butler.

  • @ladycplum up until reading your comment i thought he sounded a bit like martin frye?

  • the lead singer....omg <3

  • love this song so much

  • I could never really understand why this song featured in the lost boys soundtrack apart from link it to the girl in the film, watching the video now sheds a different meaning and one I'm not sure I follow. Good film and some good tracks.

  • @oneeyeopens It was in the movie, the boardwalk scene, when Star goes off with David, hence it's inclusion!

  • It's Corey not Jody !

  • So sad that there are so few views on this song, it is incredible. I so miss the 80's and Jody, you died far to young. I will always love you.

  • Sax solos are sexy!

  • classic classic classic.

  • some serious bed head action going on here lol. Brush? what is this magical hair tool you refer to?? You mean I can actually brush this tangled mess and look somewhat human? Get outta here.. no way... I just assumed my hair had a mind of its own and free will. I must investigate this brush thingy and see the possiblities of having tamed hair..

  • "Ernest dances with dykes!"

  • Anyone know the lyrics? there's one line that i just cannot understand, even now i've seen the vid! Thanks. Bloody brilliant song!

  • @samantha3165 I know what you want I know what you need Better than you do I know why you came I promise you I know where you go I know what you do Better than you do When nothing remains I come to you The trembling lengths The conquering touch Everything to you And into your flame I'll follow you Where all wishes twist And bitter they kiss Everything to you In doorways and dreams I run to you - without the chorus

  • It's so much sexier when vampires are involved.

  • Unbelievably awesome...

  • REISSUE THIS ALBUM ON BLOODY CD ALREADY!!!!!!

  • I have to admit, first time I heard this song I did think it was Psychedelic Furs

  • hey..i love this song

  • Some interesting underlying sexual undertones in this video. Are they truly lesbians or are they playing for his affections with erotic teasing?

    SMASH!

  • @TruthRevolutions I would love to know what it's all about.. anyone out there know who directed?

  • The stars aligned for this movie, the soundtrack to this day rates as one of the very best ever not to mention the line up of quality actors, The Lost Boys rules for ever !!!

  • i don´t know what mummy calls made this video, good song!

  • This is such a great song!

  • Lost Boys Rules man and so does the Soundtrack =]

  • I cant stop listening to this song today. Idk why. 4 times so far. Just one of those down and gloomy days I guess.

  • Check out the Mummy Calls group on Facebook for trivia, photo's and info on the band and members...

  • Cool Song, Cool Video. This David Banks dude kind of looks like Jason Bateman.

  • mince!!!

  • I will pay anyone who can tell me what the chords for this song are!

  • @Sage80 chords? its bass and synth....lol theres a guitar in this? hahaha. the drums sound digital too.

  • @Sage80 I'm pretty sure it's in G minor. Try playing a G minor bar chord over most of the song and you'll see it nearly always fits, or better still, try soloing over the top of it using a G minor pentatonic - it sounds sweet.

  • don't care for this vid. the lyrics don't seem applicable to the women in it whom he's singing to. in other words, they're UGLY! :oP

  • everytime i think, i have so many 80-songs in my collection (indeed, it`s a lot), but then i find more & more... thank you so much, man!

  • @ZEANski dude tell me about it. over the years ive built my personal 80s collection. im up to 11 cd's each with about 20-25 tracks on them. this songs going on cd 12. crazy. great jams man.

  • this song fits the 80's well, forgot about it but cant stop listing 2 it now. very powerfull song i think

  • WOW! the women in this video are the ugliest women ive ever seen they all look like men all but the hottie he was dancing with but still a great song 5 stars.

  • Dave, if you're out there and reading these, I still savour the day you washed your DMs in our kitchen sink with fairy liquid and frothed at the toes for days after. And the sacred zilch in Radford Road, toss the vac - you're part of my kids' mythology. Hope life's good for you these days - your voice still sounds great.

    Amanda (Rootes d19) x

  • Sounds mad but i use to play a lot of pool and before every tournemount i`d use to play this song before every game, it got me in the mood,,,,great song + great lost boys album

  • David Banks wrote the lyrics to the excellent song Crazy by Yasmine Tamara which is on YouTube (I don't know how to put a link to it though)

  • I have the full Mummy Calls album, I will upload all the tracks on here soon. They have some other great tracks too, "sexual desire" and "kiss me deadly" are great songs! the strong english accent works wonders for this band! awesome music!

  • Wow! Oh, the memories of slow dancing to this song, in a candlelit room, with a raven-haired beauty way back when......Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

  • There's a track called Waiting For Jane

    ..the saga continues!

  • Man, Paul Howard is SICK!!! (that's the Saxophonist) He looks much cooler than the rest of the group too. :)

  • Nah, it's David Banks all the way man!

  • Anybody know what year this song is from?

  • It was released in 1986 on the mummy Calls self titled album "Mummy Calls" & then a year later on The Lost Boys Soundtrack, July 31, 1987.

  • Thanksg

  • @Wildcock23 1987 from The Lost Boys soundtrack.

  • I heard you can record vinyl records on CD

IF, you have proper equipment that is ...

  • Thanks:D

  • does anyone know if they released a CD with their album?

  • Nope, I have looked everywhere. Their only release as Mummy Calls is a self titled LP in 1986, and has not been re-issued. Shame.

David Banks has a great voice. His next project after mummy Calls, Unicorn Jones, is available on i-tunes. Enjoy :-)

  • Try finding that on cd ;-)

  • I found it on ebay once.. You are the Drug is awesome

  • me too! love the lyrics also! the albums just as good as the Mummy Calls stuff.

  • To be honest, I think it's better... There's some subtle similarities between the material too, like the mention of 'Jane'. I wonder who she is?

  • She even made an appearance on the Unicorn Jones Album.

  • Yes, they put out an album which also had this track. I have not been able to find it on cd, but I did manage to get a copy of it on vinyl from eBay. I had it on cassette and loved EVERY song, which is very rare for me. I loaned it to a friend and never got it back...

  • Maybe I should try find the cassette also ...:D

  • That cassette is so getting hunted! lol

  • Awesome song from an awesome movie!!!

  • LOVE THIS SONG! I had never heard it until "The Lost Boys" movie, and I bought the soundtrack . . .
