I really like this song, and the sound quality isn't bad on this video. Also, the lyrics were accurate from what I saw, I liked that, but the next most important thing about doing lyrics in the video, is getting the timing right. It can be hard, I know, but if you don't get it right, there's not much point to watching the video- That is unless you just want to learn the lyrics. Some people like to sing along, sometimes horribly (Me.) And if you don't know the song.. XD
The reason they don't rhyme dream and vain is because the whole message of the song is opposite of that idea. Even if they had used some synonym and made it rhyme, the meaning would be broken. Gears and tears rhyme because they are related not because they have to rhyme.

@cindynike11 It's poetic...They worded it to where it leaves open thought. To me the machine is society or the system we live in. We are tools to our government & many of us work hard & don't get live out our dreams because we are too busy with too many current obstacles to overcome. Only a small percentage of the many people realy reach their childhood dreams. Rise Against has had enough & are throwing wrenches in the gears or rebelling to break the machine/system we live under.
:30 to :48 has almost exactly the same chord progression as one in Dancing for the Rain.
