Not really. If you have the flashlight (you get it by lighting all the fireplaces) you can navigate through the cave easier to know where all of the paths to her are.

What is TAS & non-TAS? I keep seeing that on these games.

TAS is tool assisted, this means that you used savestates and frame advance. you need a special emulator for that. for example Mupen 0.5 Non-TAS is just Normal play. when you play these on emulator, make sure you record the Project 64 bar, PJ 64 is an emulator where you can't TAS with.

W/e I think I can be trusted given that I've commented on nearly EVERY friday the 13th vid, and I can easily explain to anyone how this run was created, how the game works, what happens according to each move and etc. Nestopia's bar is bland but I think it shows FPS and stuff. I'd be better off recording the menu but hypercam records it so loud, and lags the game a bit which is annoying.

EDIT: recording the PJ64 bar (or other emulators you can't TAS with) its only for the proof at a ranking site, it's not needed if you are not ranked to a site. example cyberscore
