Nothing like getting pummeled by scripture. Bro. Micah focuses less on theory and reasoning and more on the word. Mr. Sprott spends his time appeasing the carnal flesh by using the cross as a means of allowing sin rather than destroying it. Sure the crowd gets excited when they are told that they now have an excuse to keep sinning and still go to heaven.

Sooo this baptist preacher plays to the crowd, condescends to Micah, then indirectly expects the students to admit they are sinners, then tries to preach the Gospel of salvation... then he says that that is what WE need to "hear" and THEN uses it to disprove Micah. Ummm, what??? Then he gets claps... Lord have mercy on him.

BUT! The Gospel is what delivers not the Law...Micah never gives the Gospel...He just condemns...He nevers gives the hope needed to save a sinner from their sin. Jesus lived the perfect life and died to atone for sin. Until Micah adds the Gospel to the message He is stuck in the same place the Pharisees were. Because ultimately he 'lowers' the law to the height he can achieve it but rejects the giving the full law...You must be perfect to go to heaven (Romans 1:18).

The Law is not yelling at people, calling them names, arguing with people (not in a polite way), The Law is the revelation of God and his moral character. Look as we expose the Law we reveal GOD and then the Spirit convicts people of sin. Micah makes it all about WORKS and Self reformation and self righteousness. That is not the Law of the lord! The law of the Lord reveals the lord and then the Spirit uses this revelation to convict and convert! The Word also rejoices the heart (19:8).

Faith without works is dead. One must have works, and bear fruit in order to show that their faith is real.

The works follow the faith...doesn't mean you'll be perfect though, and works will NOT save you.

@bicycledays And I'll take it further... your faith will produce works automatically. If you have faith without works, your faith is dead... which means it isn't faith at all. Also if you do works without faith, those works are dead because the Bible says that our righteousness is as filthy rags. Therefore, everything starts at true faith which is counted as righteousness before God. And by that same faith, we walk in the Spirit, which causes us to not fullfil the lusts of the flesh. Amen.

Bibluver is right. Micah only preaches condemnation and law...not the gospel and grace. Micah is good at debating because he has repeated this same stuff over and over. Memorizing doesn't mean understanding. Satan knows scripture and would love to stray people away from what Christ did for us.

Micah is preaching truth...after we are saved our focus should be living right and that is what Micah understands...

You are still not perfect. If you say you are, then you are lying to yourself. Salvation is through grace. "So shall we sin because we are SAVED BY GRACE? Certainly not!" That is saying we should not sin just because we are saved by grace...but look at what is being said...how is salvation achieved? By Grace.

@bibluver1 Actually, the Pharisees would be such as yourself, sir. If Micah walks in the Spirit, which I believe he does, and preaches the truth... he is more likened to John the Baptist. You sir, I'm not so sure about... I know many people like you who talk like you and NONE of them are right with God. This, therefore, makes you the Pharisee. Your philosphies come from the imagination of your heart and are not of the Spirit, sir. I read my Bible and my Spirit confirms with what Bro. Micah says.

Now this makes sense to me. Mike Sprout is a sinner. He is devoted to sin. He has not repented. He does not follow after the HOLY SPIRIT Romans 8:14. He hates HOLINESS. He loves his sin Proverbs 2:14-19. He cannot speak against something he loves himself. How can he PREACH against his own master who is sin? How can he try to remove the mote in ones eye when he has a log in his own? THE LOG OF SIN. Repent you evil man, turn to JESUS before the WRATH OVERTAKE YOU you lover of SINFULNESS.

Mike hates sin and that is why he trusts in Christ for salvation not his own self reformation. He knows God's standard for righteousness is perfection and thus to trust in Himself is foolishness. Jesus is His only hope. Actually Mike hates Himself...And finds that the only thing good in him is Christ and Him crucified!  Again who is the one who speaks of themselves humbly? Micah who says he does not sin or Mike who says he is a sinner saved by grace...the foremost of sinners!

Mike gives the Gospel and answers the question. Micah avoids it completely! He speaks of the reaction to the Gospel but He never gives the Gospel! He speaks of the plight of men but never gives the Gospel.

I may sin in the future but I don't have to. It is now my choice to rebel against God or not.

Anyone who lives a lifestyle of sin (sins daily etc.) is not saved.
