I know man Linux and Mac/BSD are not the same. Don't forget they're both Unix. I believe that win-shit is beginning to copy Linux/Mac/BSD etc.. .

But I prefer Linux just saying free software versus paying.

I can do just about anything you can do with Proprietary software. I'll be honest with you I like Mac for 1 thing and 1 thing only it's awesome for making music.

Tbh, I like out of all them ubuntu9.10 gnome, kde is like rocket science . But learning new stuff from what you're used to (windows xp) I gave up windows and moved to the Linux world.

It's been fun so far. Oh and i've tried windows 7 i actually like it :P I just need to get that running properly on a boot.
