Wow, these guys are really something else. Truly amazes me everytime I hear them play, speak, record....... Makes me proud to be a Canadian. I am really proud of these guys.
i am from the catskill region and just this past weekend i met a guy who worked in Allaire for that recording... the stories were incredible! Rush Rules.
The Main Monkey Business is one of my favourite tracks on the album, superb! Snakes and Arrows as an album is a perfect sphere, harking back to the days of A Farewell to Kings, Permanent Waves, Moving Pictures. Snakes and Arrows is a classic waiting in the wings!
This is really a great album, actually one of my absolute all time favourite albums by anyone. It's just that all is so... Good! The sound of all the instruments, the guitar effects and overdubs, the energy in the songs... Wonderful.
I bought the Snakes and Arrows live two months ago, and this documantary is not in the box set, WHERE THE HELL IS IT!! It's killing me man! Not having this footage after being a Rush fan for the last 30 years makes me maaaaad!
By the way thanks so much for posting it ! After watching these five episodes several times the anger is almost gone . . .
I think he did. I'm guessing maybe they just weren't quite as shiny without Lorne Wheaton there to polish them, like he does before every show. That, and the lack of stage lighting shining on them probably makes them look not quite as brilliant too.
seen them a million times and started playing drums because of this band. I own a lot of my sanity due to them. The day they call it quits is a day that will feel like a million personally owned dogs died.
when i heard this opening night Atlanta '07, that's when i realized how awesome S&A was! Especially when Alex does the 'scratching' towards the end (something very novel for him), just blew me into next week & made my hair stand up! I went to 26 more shows and it never came through the mix like opening night, much to my dismay, even directly in front of Alex's amps, which is where most of my seats were. maybe they thought it shouldn't have been that loud, but the mistake was turning it down!
That was interesting to watch I find it hard to put that cd down its in my i pod and my car sterio a road trip must from wisconsin I say thanks buddy

Rush is so great!!!
I knew they use Mac. It's the best OS on the marked.
I was kinda surprised to see that they used GarageBand. Maybe they didn't use it all the time, but still.

pro tools always, garage band is what some of the stuff was demo'd on. And Al was using it on his laptop.

Of course pro tools. It's a very good, but complex program.
