After watching this tutorial, I bought some Remy hair extensions, as my hair is also very thin. I have tried to stay in a "safe" zone (i.e. putting hair below the level of my eye brows) but the top weft always shows through. I think the hair on the top of my head is quite thin. Do you have any suggestions on how I can hide the wefts better? I would appreciate any feedback!
My hair is thin and fine just like yours, but mine is down to my butt. I find myself just wearing a regular or french braid to keep it out of the way, but I would love to try extensions for volume. I always thought they would show or slip out because of the thinness of my hair. Thank you for the tutorial, I think I might try it now.
@JesseLeann10 yes, the closest color that is a little bit lighter than your own hair (it's always easier to darken human hair than to lighten it). you can also send your photos to glam time and they'll recommend you the best match :)
Just got my extensions last week, haven't got the hang of it yet though ;o) And the colour needs adjusting. I think it's definitely the secret to blend extensions & real hair together. Taking them to a hairdresser next saturday. A bit scared! Love your videos Lilith x

@nyetimes23 one 120 gram set has 9 wefts, one 160 gram has 10 wefts. both are designed to cover your entire head, just that a 120 gram set is more suitable for people with thin hair, while a 160 gram set is better for those with naturally thicker hair.
@simirma3 a 160 Glam Time set should be fine for thick hair, but the extensions are straight. I'm not sure if you'll be able to find *human* hair extensions that are curly - most human hair extensions are made of straight hair. You can consider either straightening your own hair or curling the extensions - ideally without heat (with braids or rollers overnight). Or you could try to find synthetic extensions with curl pattern similar to you own, but I didn't have nice experience with those ones
@mdhammer525 they are totally invisible in case of a low ponytail (including a side ponytail, low braids etc), while in case of a high ponytail you need to attach them in a different way - I've shown the technique in my "high ponytail extensions..." video :)
@skadorkable at that time the ends of my own hair were darker than my roots, so getting hair extensions in the color of my ends was the only option :) if I'd get the extensions in the color of my roots, the ends of my own hair would be visible against the extensions.

I've got also clip in extensions. my hair is black and a little bit longer then my shoulders and when I put in my extensions, the hair at the back looks out. I tried to hide them with rubberbands and bobbypins, I curled them, I straight them but nothing worked. everytime when I take the hair in front of me the hair at the back looks out. I've got 7 pieces, 2 medium pieces with 3 clips, 1 big piece with 3 clips, 2 with 2 clips, and 2 little clips. Can you help me? :(

I have got myself a set of extensions but I am finding it difficult to blend them in with my own hair. My hair is cut straight, around 15", and reasonably thick. I have tried styling them both wavy and curly while clipped in for better blending but I can still see my hair line. Any tips as to how I might improve this? i'm thinking of buying these extensions but i have tried single 2inch wide clip in extensions before and there were bumps where the clips were because my hair is so thin. Im wondering if clip ins maybe arent for hair as thin as mine. what do you think?
@09blueyes My hair is very thin too and there are no bumps formed by these extensions whatsoever. Each weft is very thin and the hair is well distributed among 9 or 10 wefts of different width. I used to have other hair extensions that were indeed too thick around the clips to look natural and they formed bumps, but it's not the case with Glam Time :)
@09blueyes my hair is veryyy thin and light blonde also..i have similiar extensions to hers..mine are real hair also..just diff color and mine almost look they would hide better and i still have to back comb around them the closer they r to the top of my head and sides..but works good i wear them but have to be very careful where i place them.You should consider weave..they only braid 3-4 on the top of your head to give you that fuller side or bang look and volume all around..Its common now!

I have medium length hair like yours, but my hair is stick straight, black, and as thick as your hair extentions are. So i find it difficult to create clean braids and have it show up. @fynlilmama the extensions are silky smooth, I think they can blend well with yaki hair, but you may need to curl them with your own hair for better results.

@piiratesmile thank you :) yep, my own hair is very thin, so a single 120 gram set is enough for me :) you can email a photo of your hair to glamtimehair and ask for color matching. if necessary, you can dye the extensions too, in that case it's better to go for a lighter color of extensions as it's always easier (and healthier) to darken human hair than to lighten it :)

@canidarox Thank you so much :) They are 18'' long which I personally find the ideal length for hair extensions -anything shorter gets a bit too short when curled, while anything longer is a bit too long when straight :)
@TheKDstar Actually, don't need a video on that. It's actually easier to clean extension than to clean your own hair (coz u don't need to care your scalp). Treat it like ur own external hair. Simply clean it with shampoo, then apply conditioner and hair mask. Exactly how u usually wash hair(but need to use formula for dry hair or for damaged hair). If you get yourself a quality hair extension (not the cheap ones), you don't have to be super-duper insecure if the hair got damaged/fall off easily
@BrokenFlowerChild when you part your hair and put the clips on.... sometimes you might get pices of hair from the top parted half with the bottom...which give you bumps!.... you should only get the bottom half of the hair you parted! hope this helped :)

@TheTumTumTummy Oh no, the clips are very small and secure, they have a silicone coating to cushion you hair preventing any eventual hair damage. And as you take the extensions off any time you need (you do not ever sleep in them nor wash your hair together with the extensions), they do not cause any damage. To make them stay beautiful for as long as possible, you only have to make sure to deep condition them every time you wash them and to use heat protectors when applying heat :)

i'm thinking of buying these extensions but i have tried single 2inch wide clip in extensions before and there were bumps where the clips were because my hair is so thin. Im wondering if clip ins maybe arent for hair as thin as mine. what do you think?

@09blueyes My hair is very thin too and there are no bumps formed by these extensions whatsoever. Each weft is very thin and the hair is well distributed among 9 or 10 wefts of different width. I used to have other hair extensions that were indeed too thick around the clips to look natural and they formed bumps, but it's not the case with Glam Time :)

@09blueyes my hair is veryyy thin and light blonde also..i have similiar extensions to hers..mine are real hair also..just diff color and mine almost look they would hide better and i still have to back comb around them the closer they r to the top of my head and sides..but works good i wear them but have to be very careful where i place them.You should consider weave..they only braid 3-4 on the top of your head to give you that fuller side or bang look and volume all around..Its common now!

@09blueyes she told me its nefrom 2-3 n a months ish. ur braids cant loosen up im sure if pull on them alot or idk..i told her i wash my hair alot n theyd prob annoy me im kinda ocd that way but ya u have a few good months then they rebraid im not sure how the hair is in the braids but ya try the remy extensions online u can get a set like mine even better for maybe 49-59 bux..mine were 160$.. i only bought them this past week sometimes i only wear like 3 easy to hide and much more volume.

I have medium length hair like yours, but my hair is stick straight, black, and as thick as your hair extentions are. So i find it difficult to create clean braids and have it show up. I used to have really long hair 15inches long but I cut it because I wanted a new hairstyle. But my hair grows quickly. I LOVE YOUR HAIR THOUGH

@fynlilmama the extensions are silky smooth, I think they can blend well with yaki hair, but you may need to curl them with your own hair for better results.

Questions though: Did you only need 1 pack of hair (9 wefts like the website says)? and how do you make sure you get a color close to your natural color? What if I get something that is too light? Can I dye it using the same dye on my hair to match my hair a little better?

@piiratesmile thank you :) yep, my own hair is very thin, so a single 120 gram set is enough for me :) you can email a photo of your hair to glamtimehair and ask for color matching. if necessary, you can dye the extensions too, in that case it's better to go for a lighter color of extensions as it's always easier (and healthier) to darken human hair than to lighten it :)

@canidarox Thank you so much :) They are 18'' long which I personally find the ideal length for hair extensions -anything shorter gets a bit too short when curled, while anything longer is a bit too long when straight :)

@TheKDstar Actually, don't need a video on that. It's actually easier to clean extension than to clean your own hair (coz u don't need to care your scalp). Treat it like ur own external hair. Simply clean it with shampoo, then apply conditioner and hair mask. Exactly how u usually wash hair(but need to use formula for dry hair or for damaged hair). If you get yourself a quality hair extension (not the cheap ones), you don't have to be super-duper insecure if the hair got damaged/fall off easily

@BrokenFlowerChild when you part your hair and put the clips on.... sometimes you might get pices of hair from the top parted half with the bottom...which give you bumps!.... you should only get the bottom half of the hair you parted! hope this helped :)

@TheTumTumTummy Oh no, the clips are very small and secure, they have a silicone coating to cushion you hair preventing any eventual hair damage. And as you take the extensions off any time you need (you do not ever sleep in them nor wash your hair together with the extensions), they do not cause any damage. To make them stay beautiful for as long as possible, you only have to make sure to deep condition them every time you wash them and to use heat protectors when applying heat :)
