ino shetlands can carry a lot of weight but i have not seen any thing like this ! its ridiculous you should send the pony to a breaking in yard and when the pony is broken in i should hope it isn't going to be riden by you i don't agrea on haters on hear but what sort of person thinks they can ride a shetland pony it doesnt even look 3 years old to me....

Well I found it hilarious so I don't really care what other people think but I hoped that he would get that I was kidding and just be a little creeped out but still get that its a joke. Minis are very strong, they can lift more than half thier weight. That pony looks like it is in the 300 pound range, which can take and average teenager or adult.
But I am for animal rights, and I've been a vegetarian for a very long time, and know that some things are bit to ridiculous such as putting a 40 pound kid on a pony who bucks them off. Plus I've talked to many people including farriers and vets asking if it was alright to break a pony using a bigger person. And just so you know, it is. It just isn't aloud for heavy ridding. Plus who said we're big?

I've always thought women enjoyed breaking in ponies more than men.
And were better at it.
I knew a solid French lady once (she was around 175 pounds) and she was often called in to break childrens' ponies in. She loved doing it.
Your pony seems controlled to me.
He didn't show much fight, particularly when your mom got on him.!
