The rats are basically remote control cars made to look like rats and someone controls them with the remote from back stage :)

our hairspray set is remote control, like the bed house and also ednas flat and hefty hideaway, and the tracks are under the stage if there are any at all, so not in the way of stools and actors feet, its unlikely the tour had tracks because of the amout of set they have to cart around, but the perminent shows might do.

Yeah I've been thinking that too. I'm thinking probably not as they thew the bar stool right where they would have been. It could be be remote controlled. That's how they do the boat in Phantom so I don't think codes or safety would be huge issues.

LOL!!! At 1:21 the backup singer screws up. Instead of singing, "It's up to you!" he starts singing "Inside my heart" (a line from a stanza later in the song. You can hear him say "whoops" when he realizes it.

its not a practice. I also act(not on brodway)but they put so many lights on you and none on the audience, so when your onstage, you cant see anybody(it also helps if you get stage fright)
