The movie is a fine watch, it didn't totally butcher the book like Watchmen did, or Wanted for christs sake. That was an atrocity. if you liked the movie Wanted, kill yourself. The movie was fine, but as Alan Moore said, it was more aimed at an American audience. English Cold War anarchism is a hard sell.

Remaking The Thing? What the FUCK. Why remake a classic like that? I actually loved both the V for Vendetta movie and the graphic novel. I feel that movies like this are great for turning people on to things like graphic novels and spreading their appeal. I liked both of them actually (comic and Movie) I feel like their on two different levels....so I try not to compare them. I like the Natalie's Evey better than the comic books as for most of the characters in the movie...but I feel the plot line is more strongly identified in the comic.

The 50's thing was an abortion of a movie that was "based" off of a book called "Who Goes There?" By W. Campbell Jr. The 80's remake was actually based off of the book, while the 50's abortion had little or nothing to do with the original book. You can get manuscripts of the short story on the internet for free. The writing is god awful, but it's still an interesting read.

I actually loved both the V for Vendetta movie and the graphic novel. I feel that movies like this are great for turning people on to things like graphic novels and spreading their appeal. I would have never shown an interest in them had it not been for a combination of V for Vendetta and The Watchmen, now I have a sizeable collection.

I don't mean to be rude or trivial, but I just wanted to point out that the re-boot of "The Thing" is actually a prequel to and not a remake of the 1982 version (which is absolutely amazing) It explains the Norwegians' back-story and then how the dog eventually winds up into the camp at the beginning. I just hope Hollywood doesn't completely herp derp it up, which they probably will.... Sigh.... Anyway I love your videos! I only have 3 subscriptions but if I could only keep one it would be this

That sword there isn't a Katana. But it's similar. The dark sentinel goes for about 70-80-100 dollars. My ACTUAL Katana was 230 dollars.

I would like to see it just to see what happens before the dog ran to the other camp, but don't see it as trying to ruin The Thing just trying to add more to the story. also that could be why The Thing was so good just imaging what happens before and after the movie.

I liked both of them actually (comic and Movie) I feel like their on two different levels....so I try not to compare them. I like the Natalie's Evey better than the comic books as for most of the characters in the movie...but I feel the plot line is more strongly identified in the comic.

The 50's thing was an abortion of a movie that was "based" off of a book called "Who Goes There?" By W. Campbell Jr. The 80's remake was actually based off of the book, while the 50's abortion had little or nothing to do with the original book. You can get manuscripts of the short story on the internet for free. The writing is god awful, but it's still an interesting read.
