  • wow i have done this before on a crownvic lol cost me an hour on my life lol it was worth it sounded koo

  • your making me horny all that lub LOL

  • Thanks man.I'm restoring a 1970 cougar and When I got to the muffler,i couldn't get the pipe to slide in.

  • great video this helped me alot

  • wouldnt it been easier instead of cutting and plasming the slevees, just to sawzall both ends off and tack weld some adapters onto the ends of the pipes

  • does anybody knows whats the size is the exaust pipe on a 94 chevy astro??? its got the 4.3

  • save money, by not paying for the tools and pay someone to do it for you :)

  • Do u know where u got your clamps from?

  • @HOOTON7 autozone, advance auto, napa. any automotive parts store should have them.

  • Straight pipes all the way haha.

  • if you can afford a plasma cutter you can probably pay for someone to do this..

  • @philromo13 maybe he has a plasma cutter because he likes doing his own work the correct way rather than paying some n00b to do it half assed.

  • @probegt75 i have the plasma cutter because i do a lot of custom metal fabrication etc. it was not bought for vehicle repair, but why not use it if i have it. it makes the job easier. that is why in the video i gave alternative tools to use instead of plasma.

  • @philromo13 like i said, there are alternative tools to use instead. the exhaust has a lifetime warranty that yes also coversa it rotting out so i will never pay for another exhaust again. the salt here in buffalo eats them out in a couple of years.

  • is it quiet?

  • @Scientist990 with the new muffler it is.

  • @kwacz oh thanks...

  • not everyone has a plasma torch.....you made this way too complicated

  • @crazygood94 i know not everyone has a plasma torch, that ishy i also explained what other tools can be used instead of the plasma torch.

  • why didn't you remove the rear axle back from the hangers?

  • @kimchijeegeah2 didnt have to

  • Wisconsin?

  • thats not a flange, its bell and spigot

  • looks a lot easier than I thought it would be to install a muffler (except for the whole plasma part) This really does encourage me to try to put a new muffler on my pontiac during my break in between spring and summer semester! Thanks for the video

  • @sergeantfunk52 i just used the plasma torch because i had it already, but you can use a grinder or other toool in its place. i understand that most people do not have a plasma torch, but you definately don't need one, you can use a grinder of a sawsall or hacksaw instead. i don't know why people hate exhaust because i think its easy to do. Its even easier of you drive your car up on a set of ramps. it gives you way more room to work.

  • @kwacz Yeah, I don't think ill have to use a torch or grinder though cause I mean there is nothing wrong with my muffler right now, I just might get a louder one just for a project to do on my car you know? Figure I gotta have something creative to do in the off-time of college. I just don't know how i'm gonna get the old muffler off.

  • @sergeantfunk52 But if your muffler is welded you'll need some sort of grinder or torch to cut the pipe man.

  • @TheNeckasaurus Ah man, thanks for the heads up I'll have to check that out and see if I know anybody who I can pay to borrow one.

  • Or, take your car to a muffler shop and let a professional do the job for you for like 50-100 bucks. But, I can definitely understand doing this at home if you have nothing better to do for two days.

  • @bowtieCYRUS or i can keep doing it at home because arround here due to road salt exhaust lasts about 3 years. i have a lifetime warranty on it. besides, by the time i wait for it to be done, i could have done it already. besides, this way they wont lie to me and tell me i need a whole exhaust when i just need a muffler, which has happened to several friends of mine.

  • @kwacz

I suppose you're lucky to have a Chevy Astro Van because if you had a regular car this would be 10 times more of a pain in the ass. BTW What brand of muffler did you use that's warranted for life against rust?

  • @bowtieCYRUS bought the cheap one from autozone, but a year cafter i bought it, they changed it to a 1 year warranty. But because i bought it under the lifetime warranty, i get it for life, but any new muffler i get only has 1 year. Before the economy crashed, they had a lot of lifetime warranties, which are no longer offered. I always wondered how they could offer a lifetime on anything consumable such as a muffler, but they no longer do.

  • good video note cheper way just buy a pipe and clamp it on where the muffler was cheaper and sounds better

  • @TruckinandHuntin and then just wait for a cop to give you a ticket for a loud exhaust system. i would not even bother fixing it if i was just going to streight pipe it. whats the point.

  • Comment removed

  • i loled at 1:38 his voice cracks haha ! no disrespect i jus think its funny

  • Haha.. Guy under me:D

  • save money? yeah let me just go get my plasma tourch.............

  • @dimeo508 already had the plasmaq torch for a few years.

  • Nice job on the video.. Volume was good and clear and the lighting was done well. I could see everything you were doing. Professional videographers should take note.

  • @johnsonlimo far from professional, but the best i could do with what i had. i filmed this myself using a tripod.

  • Wast tht very unsafe

  • I can't believe its not butter

  • very clear video. good stuff. thumbs up!

  • You deserve another thumbs up... And you just got it. I ordered my muffler earlier and now, I'll know how to put it on without fuckin up my car. I needed that...

  • i just got a flowmaster 44 its awesome its for my ford ranger

  • lol i learned how to install a muffler and thats what my uncle did. Nice vids but when those clamps rust that shit is so hard to take off lol

  • @hpkingf its HORRIBLE when some of them bolts rust on

  • friggin' butter

  • Hey kwacz,

can you tell me what muffler i can put on my 1995 sc1???

  • can stop lookin at the bright light 0-0 XD

  • i just dont know why people just cant put their exhaust systems like demolition derby cars...through the hood!!!..lol.

  • @cool3be that would be cool.

  • @cool3be depend on where you live it may fail inspection. theyre excuse would be "it would block your view"
