  • Ralph Mooney, one of the creators of Bakersfield Sound, passed away on March 23, 82 years of age. This is just one of his superb pedal steel solos.

  • great piano playing,thank you.

  • he was great Back then this crap they are puting out to day they would starve to death ..Wynn Stewart was true country and had his on sound This bunch today all sound the same ..

  • he was great

  • he is one of the beat country singers of all time now this is country music at its best this crap they play today would make a great country singer blow his brains out for its sickening.

  • Wynn was so great in 1963 in Las Vegas at the Nashville Nevada club. Jim Pierce on piano was also playing piano for Judy Lynn at The Golden Nugget.

  • as i listen to this song i can just picture ole Buck Owens and his Buckaroo's! doin' it!!! God Bless real country!!

  • Loved Wynn and moon. Saw him for the last time in Redding Ca a month b4 he passed. Still sang just a beautiful as ever. :) Miss him and he deserves so much more recognition. everyone should know who Wynn Stewart is and was. :)

  • @rowaynela i agree a lot of these great singers never got the recognition they deserved.

  • Loved Wynn, and moon....................:) Saw Wynn for the last time at Silverthorn Resort in Redding Ca a month b4 he died. Still sang just a beautiful as ever. :)

  • @TheTrainman01 yep it is, two versions I believe it's well worth the price, trainman.

  • Hello all, this is pure music for the soul. If you can't connect to the words and melody, I can't help, but this puts me into another time and into another place. Again this medication for the body and soul. I get a warm comforting feeling come over me. Just can't get enough of this great music.

  • Eddie Stubbs,of Nashville's WSM650am, keeps Wynn's music alive ! And I miss hearing Ralph Mooney's Steel,on the radio,these days.That's another reason I don't listen to Country Radio. The folks,puttin out Top Country albums,don't know who Wynn,Ralph Mooney,& their Company are.They idolize Rock Stars-and I don't mean Lynyrd Skynyrd !

  • FANTASTIC!!!!, WYNN..- AND JUST LISTEN TO THE MOON ON STEEL. GREAT!!.

  • @342wg Thanks for nice Mooney comment.

  • @342wg Yeah, Not that many know about Ralph Mooney and that is a shame... He played on most of Merle Haggard's early records (hits...!) and later was the "sound" of Waylon Jennings - most promenently "Rainay' Day Woman" but his best solo

is on "The Last Letter" by Waylon. One of his best with Merle is "Sing a Sad Song".

AND. he wrote, "'Cause I'm Crying for You" (sung by Merle) which also has one of his best solos on it. A true pioneer in country music - he will be missed W'Dan

  • For the attention of The Trainman01 Judy can be found on a CD called The Best Of The Challenge Masters released by The EVI entertainment group in 1995 and also on the Bear Family box set Wishful Thinking. It's almost certainly available elsewhere too that I am not aware of. Hope this is of some help. Best wishes to all Wynn Stewart fans everywhere from another Wynn fan in the Republic Of Ireland

  • He was good. Saw him in Rockford Ill. when I was a kid. He died too young at 51.

  • Great song, another 5 stars!

  • Awesome!!

    Thank you Mr Hamlet :)

  • Never heard of this artist, but it´s not the last time.....

    I like it!!

  • He was a major part of the westcoast country style.
