i seen a guy with a true sleeper he had a butterfly valve in the exhaust and ran 2 different muffler sets a viper pulled up next to him and started rockin it (not the smartest move) the guy flipped the switch and it was like my heart dropped and he lifted the front tires a good 4 feet off when he left the line ill never forget that it was funny as hell the viper seemed so slow hahaha

The only time this car is a sleeper is when its standing still with the motor off. That is a pretty nasty sounding 318. My dart never sounded that good(so I put a 360 in it) Love the A Body's but they are a bit of a challenge to put anything bigger than a 318 in with their narrow engine bay.

Sound gives it away. I has a kinda rusty 67 Chevelle 4 door(not too bad,rust on lower front fenders and primer spots. My buddy sold me it as a rolling chassis for $60. I but a 305 with a built tranny and a stall and headers ect and it was a sleeper then.Then my buddy sold me a 355 pushing 500hp for $2000. it would pull the wheels off the ground and with the stock rear end it pulled a decent 12.6. The engine was broken in in a camaro with 4.11s and ran a 11.42.

A "sleeper" is a car that you would NEVER be able to tell is fast but is. ...there is NO hiding the fact that this car is more than it appears. This thing is loud as hell and makes small children cry. Not much of a sleeper. 14" tires and four doors do not make a car a "sleeper". The same car with a quiet exhaust, smooth idle, and a 250 hp hit of nitrous... now THAT would make a sleeper. BTW, this car gives me wood. I love it.

A friend had one w/ a 318 4 spd , 3.55 gear that he ordered that way ; then he bought a wrecked 340 duster put it in the valiant along with the 3.91 posi rear end .hurt some feelings with it ! NICE CAR as i like sleepers !

A sleeper just have to LOOK like a slow/regular car (unassuming exterior) but has high performance. If then the engine sounds loud with a heavy cam doesn't mean that's not a sleeper anymore.

sounds like some regular old glasspacks with no tailpipes or short ones. i had a 72 with no tailpipes and it sounded about the same. loud as all hell. i got pulled over the first day i ran it like that

I'm going with the others, sounds like a built slant. If you haven't been around a slant with a set of doug split headers, and tripple webber side drafts, then you have no idea just how good a little slant 6 can sound, and this sounds like its one.
