  • Loved this turorial!! :) very informative and helpful. Is there a drug store foundation application brush that you would suggest to apply either the Revlon PhotoReady Foundation or the Revlon ColorStay Foundation?

  • @PiNkSuGar9100 i don't use many drugstore brushes, so i'm a bit biased on this one. I prefer e.l.f. or Sonia Kashuk when it comes to my drugstore brushes. :) for the ColorStay, i like the Sonia Kashuk flat top brush .. for the PhotoReady, i like the e.l.f. Flat Top Buffer brush or the Sonia Kashuk flat top one as well ..

  • You have a really nice natural skin. I'm jealous !

  • your bare face looks amazing!

  • I love your skin, you are just beautiful!! I also wear golden caramel and it goes on great, looks great but by the afternoon i start to look like snookie. It turns like really dark on me so should i use a primer or get a shade lighter finishing powder ( i use colorstay med/deep) or what?? I tried natural tan but it made me look ashy and red. Please help!!

  • I thought you were gonna say ou WERE wearing makeup! Your face flawless!

  • Love your videos.

  • your face is FLAWLESSSSSSSSSS

  • I have a question.. can anybody answer it? Ok, so I'm looking for my shade in the PhotoReady and people say that Medium Beige is darker than Golden Beige..? True or no? I need the lighter of the two; and am planning to get Golden Beige. Wrong move?

  • @msanimeluver0926 i don't think MedBeige is darker, but GoldenBeige appears lighter for some reason and i'm honestly not sure why. Some people said MedBeige was better for them than GoldenBeige was and Golden Beige was supposed to be the right match based on Revlon's Shade range. Your best bet is to try them both and see which one you like better. I personally liked Golden Beige mixed with Caramel better than MedBeige & Caramel. :)

  • @LoveBLENDnBeauty Thxx for replying!(: Yea, I think that's what I'm gonna do; buy both shades, and might buy Warm Golden in ColorStay too(:

  • Whats the song in the beginning? It sounds so familiar! :)

  • @kiwirockstheworld123 its Energy - Keri Hilson.

  • thanks girl :) we're the same shade and this helped a lot.

  • do you think for nc 30...natural beige will match in Revlon colorstay and Revlon photo ready

  • @yengbren08 i can't match you from MAC to Revlon, however i can tell you that the PhotoReady will be slightly lighter than the ColorStay because of the little shimmers in them .. For example, Golden Caramel for me in ColorStay is PERFECT, but Caramel in PhotoReady is too dar, so i have to mix it with Golden Beige to make it slightly lighter but still tan enough for me ... :)

  • U have no idea how much this video helped me!!!! i have gone through like 6 different foundations trying to find the right one and with so much money spent, i have had to mix them all to make them work! i do know i am an NC42 so u were very helpful.. thank u!!!

  • in the uk we get lil sample tubes that says tester on them

  • Not being creepy... But you have like perfect skin! I'm so jealous! Haha xoxo

  • Youre legit :)

  • 0:56 "oops, fail" part was sooooo fudging adorable <3 haha

  • Mufe hd 128 matches me. And I m nc42 too. Nc42 covers a range of shades too actually, I think. And I was matched to Nars Barcelona also. 128 has beige undertones.

    Girl u r an expert!

  • Idk why but you look very pretty overweight or at whatever your current weight is? Not a backhanded compliment, just saying a lot of ppl don't but you do! Don't go on a diet :3 !!

  • @ApplesThatRead uhm, thanks? lol .. i don't consider myself overweight, but i'll consider your comment as a compliment, lol ....

  • @ApplesThatRead That was the most condescending compliment I've ever heard. Next time you attempt a comment like yours you should say "you are such a beautiful, curvy woman!" see the difference between that and "you look pretty even though you're fat" OMG! (slaps forehead)

  • @girl123interrupted Sorry D:

I really do think she's pretty and I was like if she lost any weight she would seriously be LESS pretty because she IS pretty :D

    I have ... a serious case of word vomit~

  • isnt the 153 from makeup forever hd has this skin undertone to it? because i tried it and its really pink

and i use 170 right now which is a little tan....if i go down its too pink

i dont know what to do, can you help me?

  • @bkajanetty mufe hd shades are tricky because they go up and down from pink to yellow to pink to yellow, it gets confusing. Every other shade will be in the same tone, so i'd try a shade that's 1-2 shade numbers down from the 170 and it shouldn't be pink. Ask an MUA to help match you -- unfortunately i don't know the shade #s by heart :) I use shade 153 but it matches an NC40 than an NC42, but it can work for someone with NC42 if you set it with a slightly darker powder to even it out ..

  • @LoveBLENDnBeauty aww thanks that was a big help, but yeah its weird because i tried going down to 153 and it was really yellow so yeah.. idk what else to do lol

    thanks anyways!

  • @bkajanetty Try l'oreal true match in the w colors "warm" most people have warm undertones unless you're red haired/pale skinned or dark hair/milk skin!

  • Why the hell are you wearing foundation girl? I honestly thought you were wearing makeup, because your skin is absolutely flawless! I nearly cried thinking about how you could suffocate such beautiful, perfect skin under makeup. ;_; I could understanding wearing foundation/concealer to hide flaws, but you miss, have none. :D

  • @tongone06 i don't wear foundation everyday at all, maybe once a week or twice if i go out on the weekends but it is SUPER rare for me to wear foundation, lol ... :)

  • @A9nomus you'll have to figure it out of course :) hehe .. Try to get matched by a trustworthy MUA at a department store so you have a foundation shade to compare a drugstore one to.

  • Your skin is AMAZING, its seriously flawless! You don't need any foundation.

  • im a beginner, do you suggest that i test foundations on my wrist ?

  • @Hazelsaurus no, you should test it on your jawline so you can see if it blends into your neck and both upwards into your face :)

  • BUTTER FINGERS!!

  • your skins so nice (:

  • Oh my god... I could NOT stop laughing.... FAIL! XD

  • Omg, I really dont know why Ive never thought of this and I ALWAYS get the wrong shade of foundation at the drugstore. -_- but thanks ! very helpful. :D

  • thanks the video. My base shade is NC43 do you think that the photoready caramel would be appropriate for someone of my skin complexion?

  • @leestar149 well i'm NC42-43, so i'd say it's a tad bit too dark .. maybe mix Caramel with a few pumps of the Golden Beige to get your perfect shade .. Caramel would suit someone who's more closer to NC45 :)

  • oops faill (:

  • your skin looks so good naturally!

i feel like the colorstay is too cakey, and the photoready is too glittery :(

  • @heytherebrotherbear ColorStay needs to be blended properly to avoid the cakey-ness ... and PhotoReady's "shimmer" can be toned down with a matte powder or MAC MSF Natural. ;)

  • ur facial expressions are killing me girl lol :)

  • lol you dropped everything! :p

    i like your skin color!

  • *gasps* It fell! Lol! U are too cute!

  • can you please explain to me what they mean when a foundation says, warm, golden, ash, and beige. i thought i understood it because some once explained it to me. but wen i talk to different ppl they say different things. its confusing me. like whats the difference between golden tan and warm tan?

  • @PeachesNSweetness05 it's just a way of describing the shade based on the undertones ... golden means it will have more golden yellow shades in it, unlike warm, which will be more orange/brown .. ash will have a bit more pink in it and beige will be more fair. .. then you have stuff like "golden beige" or "warm beige" and it's like a mix of em like for example, "golden beige" will be more of a yellowish beige and "warm beige" will be more of a tannish beige .... does that make any sense at all?

  • @LoveBLENDnBeauty thanks for responding to my question it really helped out a lot. this is why you're my favorite guru. you actually took the time to answer this question as well as the other question i asked you about the clinique moisterizer. you're the best!!!!!

  • You can ask for sample foundation jars at MAC? I really want a drugstore foundation, but I don't have a base foundation color thing. Please reply!(:

  • @ItsTranTalk you can, but ask them to match you first obviously so that you can get a proper match .. and make sure you pick a MUA who knows wtf she's doing cuz some of them don't .. lol =P

  • i wish i could go to the US to buy my makeup its expensive here in Australia :(

  • It look sooo complicated to pick foundation XD I had never found my shade cuz it looks like , in drugstore , my color doesnt exist :O !! I'm like light-yellowish-beige XD and everything they have is really white, brown or pinkish :(

  • You're clumsy! But thanks this was very informative!

  • uhh...you dont need foundation. your skin is FLAWLESSS. tell me how to get uneven skin tone out of the way?

  • @cheezeluver4 you can't "get it out of the way," but you can treat it ;) start with your skincare .. there are products out there that help even out the skintone so that your skin is much more smooth, less blemishes, less scars and less patches. if you're using foundation to help cover it up, find one with medium to full coverage and blend it well ;) use concealer to spot treat if you need it, but foundation should work fine .. u can also try color correctors and color correcting primers :)

  • @LoveBLENDnBeauty What product/brand do you recommend?

  • @TheRinnaChannel recommend for what? :)

  • @LoveBLENDnBeauty Like; what brand do you thinks the best?

  • @TheRinnaChannel i know you're asking me what brand and what product .. what i'm asking YOU is WHAT you need a recommendation FOR? lol .. because i mentioned both products that even out skintone and concealer and foundation and color correctors ... so WHAT is it that you need a recommendation for, love? lol =P

  • @LoveBLENDnBeauty Sorry :P I meant foundation. And what formula do you thinks the best? liquid, powder...

  • this video was so helpful and funny! lol! =] have a great weekend mama! =]

  • Lol butterfingers!!! Don't you just hate that?? Great vid girl thanks for sharing!!!

  • OMG GIRL, thanks so much, this helped a lot ;D

  • You're so beautiful, mamas !

  • I remember seeing your review of revlon's photo ready and how you loved the golden beige. I went and got golden beige too and it was sooo light! Thankfully walmart let me return it for another shade and I got caramel and I love it :). Drugstore foundations are always tricky, I think it's the ugly fluorescent lighting in the store haha. Thanks for sharing the tips! :)

  • @nikkithebrat i do love the golden beige, but only when it's paired with my MSF Natural in Medium Deep, because it evens out .. everyone's shades are different -- even tho it worked for me, it may not work for you. and some people THINK they're a certain shade when they're really not .. i'm glad you chose the caramel and that it works for you now :) i still mix the two because Caramel is actually too dark for me. :)

  • hello :) soo i dont use mac foundations but i do use the studio fix concealer in the shade NC42.. is it the same thing for foundations? i have no idea how they name the shades so pls let me know cause if thats the case... i can just go ahead and buy the same shades that you have in the revlon foundations :)

  • @tick1emepink i dunno what you're using NC42 to cover up, but yeah, it's generally the same .. my exact match may not be your exact match just because we're NC42, but it's definitely a good way for you to compare .. finding a drugstore foundation is trial and error ;)

  • Sucha helpful video :)

  • Omg thank u so much for doing this video. Ive been trying to find out how to do this so I can buy the maybelline dream mouse foundation. Thank you!

  • im MAC C4 and i bought golden beige, im not sure if i chose the right color? i also have rosey cheeks and i dont know if i should use a concealer to even out my skin first? but the foundation golden beige does match my skin and in my face it looks lighter.

  • @310endlesslysexy Golden Beige will blend nicely, but i can't guarantee it'll match you exactly in comparison to C4 if C4 is your perfect match .. if it looks lighter then i'm sure that's an easy sign that you chose the wrong shade ;) you should put your foundation on first before concealer to make sure you're not over-covering your face .. if it's looking lighter on y our face and matching your body, you might have the "white cast" problem everyone else does. so try warming it up w/ a powder

  • I haven't been able to find my MAC shade yet...when I tried them in the store they were all way too pink or too yellow. :( In the Loreal Truematch I'm a mix between N1 and N2 depending on the time of year.

  • you have such pretty skin you don't even need foundation :)

  • I'm a C6 in Mac and I tried the Revlon in Natural Tan and it actually is the same exact shade as my neck and chest, but I'm afraid it's too light when compared to the C6. I might try the shade up which is Rich Tan. Any suggestions?

  • @BabyFabzMom well my Revlon Colorstay in Golden Caramel was lighter than NC42 but it blends well -- so try it anyway and see how it blends. ;) like i said in the video, you're gonna have to try a few shades to get the right one .. even if it means you gotta mix em like i did :)

  • your funy "you dont wanna b walking around looking like casper" ,,,"u dont wanna be walking around like u faked and baked your face" lol

  • so I have a problem. My neck is WAY lighter than my face, and even the lightest shade of foundations are too orange on my face so I'm stuck :( any help? :)

  • @567Katii i don't see how the lightest shade of foundation can be too orange? how odd ... foundations should NOT be orange, lol ... uhmm, it sounds like you have fair skin if everything is too dark for you? i know Covergirl, Rimmel, Maybelline and L'Oreal have shades for SUPER fair skin, so you can try those brands .. you can also consider using a bronzer to warm up your neck a bit to even out your skintone .. alot of higher end brands also sell shades for super fair skin :)

  • @LoveBLENDnBeauty hha believe me it is lol, maybe its UK thing? haha :) ahh thank you ill try them - out of them (i can only get rimmel maybelline and l'oreal) which would you say is the best brand? Oh that's a good idea thankyou :)

    Thanks for replying :D

  • omg, just in time, i just bought a Revlon photo ready liquid foundation in 003 Shell, because the makeup artist insisted, but im not convinced, im Nc 30 ( MAC studio fix liquid foundation). help, did i get the right shade. i am so going back because that foundation is so pricey in the Philippines, lol. help, what you think.

  • @sweetypie09221 well i've used 008 Golden Beige on girls between NC25-NC37 and it's blended pretty well .. so if you're NC30, 003 Shell is WAYYYYY too light! it's gonna be MUCH lighter in pictures and in pictures too because of the SPF and microshimmer ... you shouldn't go any lighter than Medium Beige :)

  • And I can't affort to shades

  • Hmm I hate how my perfect colour is never there cause in denmark a drugstore mascare or foundation is over 20$

  • I love revlon photoready too, but I get that white cast in photos sometimes. What do you use to set it??

  • @msjohnniewalker i mentioned it in the video that i set it with my MSF Natural to avoid the "white cast" effect .. avoid setting with any "HD" powders like MUFE HD Powder or Elf's HD Powder ... use something with a matte finish .. or choose a powder that's half to one shade darker than your normal shade to "even" it out ..

  • @LoveBLENDnBeauty Ahhh, I missed that part! thanks girlfriend.

  • my gosh u av flawless skin, u dnt even need foundation 2b honest! from the Casper-face-viewer!hehe :P

  • thankssss for sharing! i always get the wrong one!

  • Can you show us how you find the perfect concealer?

  • you don't even need foundation! you have pretty and healthy looking skin!

  • Aww Love you your So Pretty!

  • I dont try the foundation on the back of my hand because my face is darker than my whole body. So I always try it on my face and it gets annoying when you're trying a lot of different shades and then your face looks multicolored! Lol!

  • i think u should try Estee Lauder Double Wear! its similar to the colorstay and has better coverage and texture imo. Btw, ur gorgeous without makeup :)

  • Yep, many MUA's suck! I always end up looking better when I buy products and try them at home. I have foundation issues. My neck is 1-2 shade(s) darker than my face and chest. If I match my face to my neck, I'll look good from the side but my face would look too dark compared to my chest from the front. Sucks for me. I'm sure it's not that noticeable, it just is for me. What to do?

  • @knx86 you can try a face and body foundation like MUFE or MAC so you can apply it to your neck also down to your chest so that everything looks evened out .. i've done that before for a client for a photoshoot :)

  • @LoveBLENDnBeauty which foundation is good for pictures so there isn't a shimmery looking cast?

  • hey, have you ever thought about trying everyday minerals? it's so much better for your face than liquid foundation (they have so much harmful chemicals). you have a beautiful complexion. everyday minerals is organic and is way better than bare minerals.

  • @gidgetgoes1128 If you are a woman of color, Everyday Minerals is a pain to find the right color and finish for our skin tones and all that ordering, reordering and waiting...besides, you end up mixing colors anyway. Their sample kits are not like they used to be.

  • hey rachel, thanks for taking the time to share these tips. very helpful! glad to see another video from you! hope you will come down to s.f. for another meet and greet!

  • really, i didnt know you can return your foundation after opening it! thanks

  • @sexxxymexi yup! most places accept returns :)

  • Ur skin is so flawless and nice! :D

  • Yes it was extremely helpful. Thanks for all the suggestions and demo.

  • so i thought i was the shade, medium beige. i looked heellllaa washed out in pictures when i first started using it. and now, it doesn't look as bad? like wth?

  • @jtrinh13 haha, maybe you got lighter? could have been the flash also =T

  • This video was extremely helpful! Feel free ramble away!!!! =D

  • thank you so much for this really helpful tutorial!! (: lovvvee but i just wish you had better lighting..

  • @xbananas i knoowww my lighting sucks right now .... lol

  • hi Rachel :) The Revlon PhotoReadyFinish foundation placement is whack! MEDIUM BEIGE comes BEFORE GOLDEN BEIGE BUT it's actually DARKER :)...which is weird -__- I hope that helps :D spoken through trial and error

  • @nikkiluvsmac0 yeah i agree that it's darker than Golden Beige, but only because there's less "golden" in it, so it seems darker ... but i tried it and i liked Golden Beige better to mix with Caramel :) haha, trial and error, i'm so with you on that one *smh*

  • you know we wear the same color foundation, you know the other day I went to Ulta because there was a sale, I went to find golden caramel and the color only went to rich tan....that was the darkest shade they had, when I asked why they don't carry foundation for darker skin tones she said we stock for the kinds of customers we get in the area...so I thought well I guess that means my black ass is out of luck!!Crazy I would think Ulta would carry almost all the foundation colors!

  • @TheCoca84 wow, thas fukd up, they didn't carry anything darker than Rich Tan?!?! girl, check Walmart or Target, it's cheaper there anyway :)

  • @TheCoca84 It's the same way at my local Ulta. My town has a large Latino population in our area, so I don't understand why Walgreens, CVS and Ulta don't cater to dark/tan/olive skin tones. Oh, and you can't buy any of the darker colors online either. If you DO luck up and find a store that sells your shade (like ghetto-ass Walmart), they are always out of it - hint to the store - if a particular color sells out constantly, STOCK IT!

  • great video! thank you so much! i was wondering...do you pay to get a sample of the foundation shade from mac? if so, how much is it?

  • @Lylas518 no, just ask :) tell them you want a sample to try to see if it'll work well with your skin and they'll give you about a week's worth :) some will be generous enough to fill the whole jar ;)

  • which shade would you suggest for NC15 in the photoready and colorstay foundation?

  • @alissaa107 i don't know the names of the shades lighter than Medium Beige, but i know that Medium Beige and Golden Beige will work anyone with between the NC25-NC37 shades :)

  • Your skin is beautiful! Please do more skincare 101 videos! (:

  • you recommended golden caramel for me for the colorstay and omg its just like my skin color.

  • lol, you had me busting with your "fail". you are too funny and your vids are awe-sum =)

  • thank you for this video, it helps me a LOT .... thank you :)

  • Your skin is flawless! beautiful, you don't need any foundation at all....

  • -cough- I rip it... Hehehe... I feel really bad buuuuut... >.<

  • wow! you don't need foundationnn .

  • OMG your skin looks so good!

you dont even need foundation girl.

  • You have amazing skin! :)

  • good vid!
