FUCKKKKKKK. i missed them when they came to Texas....they didnt come to San Antonio but they went to Houston,Dallas,Austin, and i think somewhere else in TX.....BS!!!! i wanna see them live T__T
7:28 to the Ending of the song shows that Thomas can play the beautiful stuff too. I like how he gets the portamento sound on his guitar by using the reverse delay. So sick!
So on this tour it looks like Thom is using his V again and experimenting with different amps? Perhaps a stereo setup now?
Also Frank has an interesting bass setup. Old style P bass and different amps. I wonder what he used before the band because on the last tour it looked like he was using Tims gear. (Ampegs, J bass and Gibson Grabber.
He's had that setup(which is stereo) for ages at his home, and he's been using half/half Budda and Orange amps on tour for quite a while.. nothing too new.
Tim's sound was so much better, Frank's tone on the album is so transparent :l
Didnt know about the setup. Cool info. Also, although Frank has a lot less midrange presence and utilizes a lot cleaner signal (no growl) I do think the way he sounds on the album is purely the way Terry Date did things. The album as a whole has a lot less balls. The recording for the most part is really clean and although doesn't have a bad sound it definitely has a different sound (recording wise that is).
it's mostly midrange. I think people blame producers for things they're not really in control of, a bass sound is generally a pretty personal thing. How much it got lost in the mix sucks.
if anyone else taped this song, can you PLEASE put it up? i stage dived/crowd surfed on this song, and this video cuts to the bass player when i do it :( if you can, id really appreciate it!
I'm still trying to cope with the fact that I'll never get to see these guys live. I hate myself for just getting into them a month ago -/3

I never thought they'd be able to top this song. I was right. It's so epic. 7 minutes of nonstop shredding and screaming. what's not to love?
