  • Sweet!!!!

  • Uncle Olly i'm with U, my first music heroes too

  • hany evesek voltatok -gyerekek? --a szerelem ugy kel. -mindt az oxigen ,..---ugye gyerekek?

  • Born 1963 and their first appearance at german TV "Disco" 1970 my first heros!

    I justed to play "air-gitarr".

Sorry for my bad english, but i love these boys!

  • Ive saw both bands in concert and this is definitely Sweet,But it does sound very much like E.L.O.

  • This sounds so much like ELO when I first heard it I thought it was

  • B sides now I realise were always better R&R !!

  • Wow that is a raw outtake from Sweet. Nice piano at the end. They obviously were rehearsing this.

  • GREAT SONG !!

  • Fuckin great song!

    Wonderful, very wonderful!

  • this one sounds like crap

  • No fake this, it's definitely Sweet. Probably a rehearsal take for the 1978 "Level Headed" tour?

  • AWESOME TO HEAR IT RAW LIKE THIS, THANK YOU FOR SHARING!

  • That's Sweet all right. Minus the special effects and with very few practice takes, I would imagine. What makes it sound even worse is that Brian's vocal seems to be picking up on some already used channel, making it sound even weaker than it already is. Very timid vocal suggests he doesn't know the song very well at this point. Very cool!

  • It's a Dutch tribute band....no?

  • @UKromany Nope. It's really them. Ever heard the original Fox on the Run? It's even worse. They clean up very well in the studio, though, don't they? :)

  • einfach super

  • Kenne ich noch aus meiner Jugend(1979),oder?

  • Takes me back to the summer of '78.......yikes!

  • This version ROCKS!!! I would get drunk and play this on the jukebox ANYDAY

  • @gollygee35 So would I.

  • Really shows you what a studio does for songs... the background vocals are a joke here but on the studio version they're great and very well mixed. Not that Sweet were'nt great, but in a studio you could get a fart to sound like a symphony and turn it into a hit song.

  • endsgeil ............. all Stars *****

  • remixed?

  • MERRY XMAS!

  • I love this awsome song...I thought this was the same group who sang the song, "Go All The Way"..but, it's Raspberrys.

  • "Love is like oxygen! you get to much you get to high! not enough and ya gonna die!"

  • Fuck yeah, love these guys!!!!!!!! Epic song and group

  • looking for two songs they did .

tracy the other celica...can any one help.

  • Never heard this one before.

    Thank you!

  • grawsome

  • Thank you. It was great. I loved the midle section,it reminded me about one of my other favourites Mike Oldfield.

  • AWESOME!!! I never noticed this version before, it's a shame that I didn't! I like the Sweet, Sweet is my life!! Thank you, I wish I lived in the 70's... But no, I live nearly 40 years later...

Sweet still rocks. I like Andy and Steve's version a lot, too.

  • cool stuff from WAY back!

  • ass kicking tune... rock on!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • had'nt heard this song in years. loved it when i was younger. still kool...

  • thanks for posting

  • Love this song

  • RUN and HIDE

  • its soo true

  • beatifull

  • Great Song!!!

  • I remember being at the St. John's REALITY party in 1987 and they played this OVER AND OVER. . . .we were a bit...erm..altered at the time.

  • excelentisimo

  • Awesome!

Love is like my chemistry instructor who loves oxygen and I love him.

That was a total run-on sentence.

    Oops!

    Dana /Grammar Nazi

  • Awesome share redbaron....brings back great memories !!!!

  • The Sweet sound fantastic here: Brian's ever edgy tone with beautiful vibrato, Mick's tremendous drumming, Andy's soaring harmonies. Methinks Toto borrowed heavily, i.e., "tow(ed) the line" around 4:07.

  • yeah its sweet ;|

    hha, i love this song.

  • This is not Sweet

  • lol.....Tell us who else...

  • @taxirock acrid

  • @kn1ghtstemplar i think this was made after the lead singer died

  • @kn1ghtstemplar it definitely is Sweet, but it is obviously a VERY early demo. Sounds like probably a first recording so the guys could go away and work on it and learn it properly. Songs don't start out with the released version, you know.

  • @kn1ghtstemplar it definitely is Sweet, but it sounds like it is from a sound check.

  • @6PBP6 This is from the level headed tour tapes ;-)

  • @01Suchender01 VIELEN DANK FÜR DIE INFORMATIONEN MEIN FREUND :-)

  • @6PBP6 Hab die komplette CD :-P

  • @kn1ghtstemplar i agree. i think it is ELO (Electric Light Orchestra)

  • @2eyejoe2 the original is ELO

  • @2eyejoe2 This was written by Sweet, not ELO. Yes this is a raw recording, but all of their voices are very distinct.

  • Very interesting, very good;)

  • man that solo

    now i remember

this is the version andy and his band played at the concert i saw

  • Different,but good.

  • You may like it, but it ruined them. Their career ended right here. They were rockers before it became mainstream and this destroyed their reputation among the party crowd that bought thier albums and went to thier concerts. I know I was one of them..............

  • super!!

  • Yes... wow!

  • WOW!!

  • Typical of awesome songs that thankfuly don,t get much airplay.

  • Sounds like the original promo demo for the single. Wonderful to hear, quality musicians.

  • COOL version.

    Sounds very live.

    Great harmonies.

Such a HUGE hit on FM radio in the States.

I remember hearing this a lot on a bunch of stations back in the day.

I still hear it on Classic rock stations.

    A real classic.

I love this version! Very cool.

    5 Stars.

  • WONDERFUL!

  • Sweet had a sound engineer, Reinhold Mack who left to record with ELO, then Queen. You can hear his musical trademark on Sweet's songs. Sweet was one of the first in starting this vocal in-sync harmonies glam-rock music. Then Reinhold continued on and gave us ELO and Queen respectively, each major icons of the 70's

  • yeah, but queen never used synths til the 80s

  • @RJupiter2 Thanks for your wonderfull information.I have been so long in curious why that three groups sounded as if in the same atmosphere,. especially between SWEET and ELO, very close

  • @Mrharryhue Your very welcome! I was also not aware of Reinhold's work with all three bands, yet realized that's why I liked all their music. He was truly a talented sound engineer!

  • @RJupiter2 sorry but you are mistaken he did not work with the sweet he worked with elo and queen....go to amazon for a full list of all bands he worked with...no Sweet

  • @mattrondo This is direct from Wikipedia: -- Now confident in their own songwriting and production abilities, Sweet spent the latter half of 1975 in Musicland Studios in Munich, Germany, where they recorded the Give Us A Wink album with German sound engineer Reinhold Mack, who later recorded with Electric Light Orchestra and co-produced Queen.

  • @luisescalonharo PUEDES TRADUCIRLO EN ENGLES?

  • Great! Great! song.

  • Besides the great track the last 30s are really awesome. It's the like in the long album version and should really be used in some modern dance/trance/whatever song because it's too great to just fade out.

  • Awseome 5 stars

  • this song is wonderfull!

  • This VERSION IS GREAT!!! is always easy to modify things in the studio and postproduction BUT MAN!! the vocals HERE are still awesome!! and the raw sound is beautiful. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS AWESOME VERSION

  • The cd is called: The private collection

    (14 rare classic versions)

  • nice one taxirock. where the hell did you get this from? lol great stuff.

  • gay but good.

  • Fantastic mate - I tested the sound on all the oxygen clips and yours sounds the best to me and some really great sound on the high end.

I'm still anticipating this new ending you speak of :^)

  • estas seguro ke no eres tu con tus amigos borrachos?

  • hahaha funny question :-)

  • danke für diese seltene aufnahme!

  • Love the raw sound , thanks 4 sharing this rare gem....

  • colllll!!!!!

    arigato san

  • I'm very happy to hear this version. Thankyou very much.

  • I like the raw sound of the guitar, but the vocals are better on the album version. Great clip though.

  • How sweet it is! You rock Taxirock.

  • Wow, i have never heard this version before.

    Thank you very much Taxirock!

  • love this song

  • excelente

  • thank you soooo much for posting this video

  • Wow, this has a really "at work" raw kinda sound to it. Nice post, thanx>

  • spookyphil. this is radically diff. from album or single edit version.perhaps you lacked sufficient oxygen on hearing.

  • Sweet stuff!! very sweet

  • sounds very much like the version on their 1978 level headed album

  • long cut reminds me of 1970's fm radio.great video you put together also.love this song.

  • always love the simple drums and bass grove with gtr at the end

  • vocals are not balanced pretty good for four guys

  • YW, bro. Certainly shows the talent of the band, without overdubs/post-production that makes most bands sound so good.

  • Very interesting version! Thank you!

  • THATS HOT...THE BEAT KICKS

  • cool!"FM direct to disc" is the only other recording

    like it.

  • Yeah, sounds live in the studio, a demo, thanx for posting!

  • Very cool.

  • Great band great song! Heavy CAMEL influence from 3.30 to 4.40.

  • Heavy CAMEL???

  • The beginning sounds like Camel but the rest sounds like Todd Rundgren.

  • GoI loved this song way back in the day

  • This was one of the early rough recordings of the track on one of the Best of's. It truly shows the band's natural, un"produced" sound. Thanks for sharing, and great visual accompaniment, Taxirock

  • it sounds like a live board tape as the drums are so hot - totally new insight on the inside vocal harmonies. was this from a live show or studio version?

  • Ive got this version on Collectors Gold CD, with alternate takes. Its a rough, live-in-the-studio cut, pre-production. Love the raw sound :D

  • awesome - thanks for the info - the drums are so hot in the mix, i thought it was a live board tape from a show.

  • Thx, i´ll try some other from the CD..HEALER and WINDY CITY are also very special...

  • great

  • Great version. Good to hear em in studio

  • Nice video ...

  • Great video and a version of this song I had indeed never heard before. Thanks for posting!

  • Thanks, intresting hearing this version and always good to see photos of SWEET!Cheers!
