@harbin88 .. india is a densely packed country with lots of population and very less area.. that's why so many stations on railway lines. thats why we cannt have speeds like 400kmph cause trains have to stop or slow down very frequently in stations zones.

@bunty1118 You made an excellent point! There is a balance to be made to have fast speed and numbers of stop stations. I have find some information how China can make the speed to 400/kilo now. Maybe they dropped many small town train stations that used to be in between. That would not be nice. Accessability is important too.

@harbin88 May be a reason But 350/380km/hCRH just run on the new high speed railway the original railway and small stations are still working as before And in fact there are many stations along the high speed railway for example there are 9 stations on the Shanghai-Hangzhou railway which is only about 160km and its commercial speed is 350km/h
