  • There were some wrong notes song by the soloist. But that didn't take away from the beauty of the phrase. It was very well done.

  • @IwouldRatherStayOut errr which ones in particular? I didn't hear any.

  • @ertyhjhgfd hmm.. now that I hear it again I actually have no idea what I was talking about. I must've been going crazy that day lol.

  • wow this is terrific

  • Great recording, although I do find the tenor text underlay at 2:36 quite amusing!

  • @applefilms why?

  • 3:00 best.chord.ever

  • In relation to some early comments, the Spotless Rose metaphorically speaking is Jesus, not Mary - she's the tender root that the Rose is sprung from! And of course it was Jesus, not Mary, whose coming was 'foreshown' by the 'ancient seers', being from the line of Jesse, etc. Can quite understand the confusion though, with roses perhaps having more female than male connotations these days... Hope this helps! An exquisite piece of composition.

  • I love the baritone solo. It was amazing, in it's way of showing the baritone range and voice quality.

  • bar 26 " bare__" maybe a little flat, and the soloist definetly keeps to the underside of the top Eflats, but generally, even for professional standards i say he is spot on tuning-wise

  • @ad8aj Top E*

  • Soloist is beautifully in tune.

  • @Athrenad you clearly have no ear for music!!!!!

  • The solist is disgustingly flat.

  • @Athrenad I don't know what you're talking about - I have an excellent ear for music, and I can't hear the soloist going flat at all. Obviously he produces a nice rich tone, and that, like all musical tones other than pure sine waves, is a combination of lots of different harmonics. Sometimes certain of the harmonics become accentuated, and although, even then, a good ear will hear that he hasn't gone flat, even then, it might be possible for this to confuse some people. I enjoyed this a lot.

  • Amazing music this.

  • love this song. i did the solo when my choir sang it, not as well granted

  • The Spotless Rose is Mary herself, not one of her body parts.

  • just beautiful :D x

  • I don't mean to sound immature, but in this song are they talking about Mary's vagina? A spotless rose?

  • brings back good memories for me

  • now I look at it properly, there are mistakes all over the place...

  • The last note in the 7/8 bar in the alto line should be an E natural, not an F sharp.

  • This is a very lovely song, and it's awesome to be able to follow along. Thanks for uploading!
