This perspective will not remedy the debt and interest based creation of currency which is driving civilization into a flurry of activity much of it wasteful and wrecking the environment. Sooner or later we'll need a new foundation for economics and a middle class which understands the necessity for this.
@summondadrummin, Totally agree -- we need to replace not only debt-based money system, but also industrial (corporate) capitalism whose premise is to extract more planet into stuff as quickly as possible for short-term gain. I think it's not just the middle class that'll need to understand this -- but the wealthy elite, the 1% who own the 40% or more (and are in control).

I actually took this one step ferther and went a few months with out spending any money. I only spent money on food, bills and gas to get to work. No eating out, or spending money. It was really an eye opener to see how much money I saved at the end of the few months I did it for. I also noticed more of my bills were getting paid off. It also made me feel how lucky I was, many people have to live with out the extras and are suffering.
Nice interview, but I must point out her reference to quantum physics at 14:40 is a horrible misuse of scientific jargon also committed by Deepak Chopra and Rhonda Byrne. It is incorrect and often cruel when told to people that are suffering.
Wow! That was a quick half hour. That interview could have gone on for an hour easy.
Langely is a nice place, or at least it was 15 years ago when I was there last.
My wakeup call came in 2007 when I saw "the end of suburbia". It took a couple years but I got my financial house in order. Zero debt, home paid off, expenses = 25% of my take home pay. It's a great way to live.
It's an interesting coincidence that I bought an electric bike too and I'm putting it together this morning.
Vicki Robin, you can make your own vinegar so easily ...lots of YT videos specifically '`eatthe weeds' ...have fun making your own 'mother of vinegar' ...it is key to any vinegar commercial or otherwise
I believe we are living in times that will be reduced to legend. 500 years from now there will be a few people around a camp fire talking about flying machines , and metal wagons that went 100 mph.
There are some indications that what you're talking about has already happened once or twice. To see what I mean, do a search for "out of place artifacts" in you tube and Google and prepare to be shocked.
@btigtime2 Not sure if your mention of "a few people" has any thing to do with the point you are trying make. But if in 500 years the historical existence of aircraft and motor vehicles that travel 100 MPH are thought of as legend would mean man hadn't learned a thing in those ensuing 500 years, if exists at all at that time.
