@islandsylph I believe he was thinking, "This should give me enough money to tide me over through my next set of amazing but low paying non-chick flick acting parts." He even admits to doing these types of roles just for the cash so he can do his other roles comfortably :) At least he's honest - plus, us women can get an extra helping of Colin Firth every once in a while which is never a bad thing.

love his expression when she leans into him all out of breath and crying because she is so caught up with emotion. his gesture was so cute and romantic andthe way he was also funny at the same time in the way he gave her the ring if I was her I would of been so happy and crying to. his expression is priceless at that moment like you are so sweet and I am glad I did this gesture. you can see the relief and happiness he is having in his face for her.
