what is wrong with you people, if like me you knew this already well done but think how many new or young anglers have learned from this & other videos, get a grip & treat people as you expect to be treated in life, with decency
I super glue my big hammers to the jig head due to the same reason. But anyone have a problem with fish tearing at the midsection and missing the hook completely?
I superglue big hammers to hammerheads. Gluing them together is a major time-saver, as fish will often pull the swimbaits down a bit after a strike, it's nice not having to push the swimbait back onto the jighead after every cast. This technique is also necessary when your swimbaits are so damaged, that they wont stay on normally. I've had times where the only producing swimbait was too damaged to use, and because of this, my day was over.
Unfortunately, some of the biggest dickholes are fishermen. This is valuable for anyone to know and to put into practice. I add on a little thread, whip finish the area with half hitches and then add zap a gap gel but any glue supe will work. Peace.
Holy Crap...what's with all the negativity? If you know how to do this already or think it's going to ruin your jig head (it doesn't), then just move on...no need to chime in with some snide comment.
jd i have been worried about trying this ...but i figure i will ask now...by adding the krazy glue..wont that make getting ALL the swim bait back off very hard...wont the part that you glued stay on the jig head?

@brooksoneverdies sorry but this is coming from the guy with no fishing videos at all? and not everyone is a pro fisherman like you this guy is just spreading some knowledge dont be a dick
Your right, its not coming off. the next fish that hits that short is just going to rip your swimbait in half. But your right, the head will still stay on the collar.
Soft plastic is cheap, and so are jigheads, why not just keep the softbait on the head? And if you really do want to remove it, you probably could with a knife and pliers. But all in all, you'd probably ruin the softplastic, so I'd most likely just keep the the bait rigged.
No, the glue seems to dry right up and not leave any smell. If you're worried, you could always just add a little commercial scent to it, though. Good luck!
This might sound bit lame but do you put a small sinker near the lure to cast it our further? We cast ours like 30 feet from the shore (no boat we fish lake shores) . We have caught small bass but not big ones and would like to cast it further . Thanks
You have your own website?? Giving out those kinds of tips, I don't think I'll be visiting haha. J/k, nice vid and hope someone can take that piece of info and help save themselves some coin.

ппц, америкосы в своем репертуаре... да это и коню понятно, что суперклеем можно силикон закрепить...

i love the idea... but i would think that the super glue scent would be more of a fish deterrent than a fish attractant... what do you think?
gottadutch 5 months ago
@gottadutch
That super glue will not be a fish deterrent. For swimbaits, pros use super glue to fix the tears and get great results.

This is a great tip but it might leave a super glue smell in the water so I would spary some coffe scent from strike king
bassmasterclassic1 1 year ago
@bassmasterclassic1 if you let it dry for a few mins its gonna b odourless. silicone has a stronger smell than superglue after drying out.

Dont you think the fish wouldnt like the superglue smell?
bahbzilla 2 years ago
Ive noticed that I get less bites if I use superglue to repair my soft plastics, but if you use a good fish attractant it helps cover up the scent.
