They've been around for quite a while... Pretty much every decade has had them under different names, and with different aesthetics and methods... They've been around for ages, and I have a feeling they'll be around for ages to come... Though the candy colored 80's added an interesting visual appeal on a level that hadn't really been achieved before, and is quite a bit of fun to watch :)
