  • how is this safe

  • @jojo990100 yes, the chute is a safe way of emergency egress when used correctly. Mobiltex guarantee that the chute will function if it is maintain regularly, but has no responsibility over behaviour or the actions made by persons using the chute, not complying with written instructions or taught during training. If used wrongly, it can result in injury and even in fatal accidents.

  • @jojo990100 By entering the chute, the person will be responsible for his/her own actions and friction may cause a temporary slight chafing to the skin if the person has extremely sensitive skin.

  • pity they didnt have those in new york that day..

  • please search related videos at youtube:

"you can control your own speed of descent when sliding down the chute escape chute"

    "Escape from window..... "

"Multi Entry Chute @ Planet Godrej "

and you will know how the operation system of this chute works and

you can control your own speed of descent when sliding down the chute escape chute

  • but what happens if someone goes down really fast and knocks down all the other people?

  • @HDPlaneSpotter

you can control your own speed of descent when sliding down the chute escape chute

you can avoid collision if you follow the SOP:

shorter chute (less than 30m): one person at a time

longer chute (more than 30m): wait 4-5 secs before the next person decent (about 10m apart from the earlier peson)

  • lol its like being pooped out of a building...

  • OMFG that is scary

  • @MrDilliption it would be even more scary if you find yourself trapped in a highrise and there is no other way out ! this escape solution may appear to be scary for others who have not tried out, but it is an alternative means of escape for you to get out in a life threatening situation

  • haha, women with skiret would be awesome, at down she has upskirt :D

  • om nom nom

  • A new child is born...

  • need to fall WAY faster than that if it's a big building and on fire.

  • @BlackMasterRoshi Given that this escape chute is a self control speed of descent, you can allow yourself to descent at a faster speed by not stretching your elbow, arm, knee against the fabrics as you descent...its like a free fall...and when you start to stretch your elbow, arm, knee against the fabrics, this action will slow down the descent....you can also stop yourself in the midst of the descent if you stretch your elbow, arm, knee more against the fabrics

  • @escapeconsult what sort of friction burns do you get if you slow from a high speed with your bare elbows?

  • @BlackMasterRoshi the sort of friction burns as you slide down in the inner layer (aramid) of the chute would very much depending on the sensitiveness of your skin. In a real emergency, i don't think people would mind a slight friction burns on their knee and elbow if they get down to the ground safely.

  • @escapeconsult Exactly. I'd gladly donate the skin on my elbows all the way to the bone if it meant avoiding immolation or building-collapse. I was just curious.

  • @BlackMasterRoshi when people are in the life and death situation, they would attempt all means to get out of the danger even to the extend of taking risks that they never expect that it would happen to them. Most people who have tried the chute commented of slight friction sensation of the skin. very few had abrasion on their skin.

  • @escapeconsult that's even better!

  • This is a process of natural selection. Thinning out the fat ppl from the herd

  • @airboy90 They have to approve comments. I appreciate the fact that they approved yours.

  • great idea until a too fat person comes and it is forced to strech more than it should

  • @Mrsparklesoap ...a fat person would not be able to enter the entry point of the chute. The standard size for entry point of chute is 530mm diameter for single entry chute and 600mm dia for multi entry chute. The elasticity of the middle layer chute "spuncell" when fully outstretch can increase three times in dimensional capacity to 750mm. The outer and inner layer has about 800mm diameter.

  • This is a great idea! It looks MUCH safer than trying to navigate a cable style ladder! A chute like this could be stowed beneath a window frame and deployed in seconds in the event of an emergency.
