As a medical doctor, I am very happy that this man has had some success with stem cells, It's just ashamed that the price is JUST TOO EXPENSIVE AT THIS POINT AND NEEDS TO BE MADE AFFORDABLE. People like this young man, need multiple treatments, and at $25,000 per treatment, it's virtually impossible to raise the money for even a single treatment, let alone multiple treatments. So sad, as it can be offered at a fraction of the price.

Have you ever thought of using a natural stem cell enhancer while using other treatments. I think that is wonderful.  I've also been in contact with a few places that are doing the stem cell therapy. One in Germany that costs about $10,000. There is also another one in the Caribbean for $30,000. I'm considering it and am looking for ways to raise some money. I'm not taking anymore chances with this disease and I want to act fast.

I am curious chillerguy111...is there a reason you chose Tysabri treatment, rather than say Copaxone?

I'm 51 with MS, fighting for 10 yrs. I did Avonex 2 years, and decided the risk of liver problems & the once a week yuk wasn't going to work.

My last MRI was clean, no lesions. I've heard about the Tysabri, but haven't ask anyone w/ MS about it. Please share you experience with it, so we can see the difference of it vs. Copaxone. I'm watching stem cell issues VERY closely, THANKS & good luck.

I have been on Rebif, Avonex, Imuran, low dose prednisone, etc. None of which worked. I just received my last Infusion of Tysabri on the 23rd and I have nothing but the best things to say about it. No side effects, and it got rid of the weakness after only 1 1/2 weeks of being on it. I'm not going to cry "Miracle drug" but I do think highly of it, so far. :-) Also, it is only a once a month infusion, that is sooo nice.

Have you thought to give LDN a try. It seems to be keeping about 85% of people from progressing. It is not a perfect drug either, but but it is inexpensive (about $25/month), easy to take in a pill form, has such minor side effects that go away generally within the first few weeks and it can be just the ticket. Well, I have an update for anyone who is interested. After a little over 9 months of amazing health, I have had the latest M/S attack. On March 15th I started to lose strength on my right side. They did an MRI and found a new, HUGE lesion on my left temporal lobe. I do not think that the Stem Cell treatment was a success for me specifically. Do I still believe in it whole heartedly? YES! I have seen how much it is helped other people. It's just not a definite science yet, and I can except that.

Chillerguy, you are so wonderful to be so honest and share your experiences. It sounds like the stem cell treatment gave you 9 months of relief. Perhaps it kept you from progressing further than you would have. I know everyone's body is different and different treatments might be just the key. At least you were not afraid to try this one and to let others know how it was going for you. Perhaps there is something different that might work better for you. Sorry to keep everyone out of the loop. I finished the Stem Cell treatment on June 23rd and I still sit symptom free. Even though my health has been excellent, I have decided to start back on a M/S therapy called Tysabri. I should start soon. I am starting back on a treatment as a prevention plan. I want to nip M/S in the butt before it get's me if at all possible.

It has been almost 8 months since I got back from China and I have had no new symptoms or relapses. I have been treatment free for almost 3 months. I have very happy with my results. "knock on wood. :-)
