I bought this PC for $20 off Ebay. I installed Puppy Linux on it and I have tons of free Linux software and a secure OS, all for dirt cheap ($20).

@talldude123 tell then to upgrade PRONTO. Sp1 stopped getting support in 2006 and ie6 has some major security holes. Tell them to upgrade to sp3 and at least ie8. Both are free and crucial if they're using their computer for online banking.

By the way Dell0304 my friend's parents have a Dell Dimension 8250 that has the exact same specs as your PC in this video, and they still use it to this day (for bills, facebook, etc) and it's even running the stock install of XP SP1 from Dell (no, they don't upgrade, they're still using IE6)

@Dell0304 well its a good cheap pc for basic word processing and wikipedia, mabye youtube... since the PSU is small and there mabye isnt any video expansion port (and if there is AGP 4X half height) 40GB's wont get you far, mabye install an 80Gb or even a 320Gb IDE Drive i dont know whether 845G has SATA, but in this care, there isnt much room for expansion but is a good pc, cant do anything special, but is a solid basic office worker. even could work as a file server.
