In the rockmasterclass video he also says "easy!" after playing so damn fast. Check it at 9:10. After this jackhammer solo he says it as well. I think it's cocky.

Non musicians watching that show wanted to see his tremendous finger and hand speed and that is what Mr. King gave that show's particular audience.

But the simple fact is you more than likely can't play anywhere near this level. Whether you even play music or not is absolutely questionable. For any good argument, you need solid evidence to support your claim.
The challenge was to see how fast he could play for ten gongs(the tower clock was at 10 o'clock on the dot and it sounds the hour off in gongs---the exact number of of gongs is heard for each hour it represents)
