I got to meet, and speak along side of, all these men and more last Sept (2010). We took Dr. Bruce Malone to that very TBN studio, and recorded some creation segments that you will be able to see soon on TBN. We had a great time. I'll be posting the entire expo videos as soon as they are done being produced.
"Man has no ability to create anything. He can only take what exists and transform it. Science is shortsighted because it attempts to explain infinitesimal situations from a finite view. God only knows some secrets and reveals them to whom He can trust--usually His prophets."
Prophets? Long-bearded, long-haired fanatics that would see you dead if you blaspheme? There was a reason that Israel wanted kings instead of religious judges, and you know how bad kings are.
The basic problem is that NONE of the people who attack evolution have actually studied it. If they did, they would of course see that there's nothing TO attack. It isn't a Satanic Conspiracy, it's simply the description of a process, providing a very useful taxonomy and a way to understand relationships. I see no way around this problem of ignorance. And it will become far worse if we allow these untutored people to drag our science education back into the bronze age.
i can't believe such a large number of people have trouble in acknowledging evolution. There literally hasnt been anything, in the whole history of humanity, more obvious. Morons. End of.
I can't believe such a large number of people have trouble in acknowledging Jesus Christ while they continue to use his name in vain on a daily basis. He and His church are far more obvious than the thought of nothing creating everything. End of.
My friend, without meaning to offend you, you really have got the wrong end of the stick. Like it or not, you live in a world which came around naturally - the life on which came around naturally. Genesis didnt happen, and all the creationist "argument" in existence does not change that. Jesus - as a supernatural entity- does not make sense in such a world. Its fair to say he was a philosopher - and a great man - but not a god. Dont go for the easy answer.
I would ask you at this point what makes you so certain that Genesis did not happen? Is it because you have no explanation for how it could have happened? For example, how men could have lived for 900 years plus? If all we have to look at is the way the world is now, I would be doubtful myself. However, there are many convincing signs still in the earth. On the other hand Jesus deity is a completely different subject. If one can accept Genesis, the rest of the Bible will not be a problem.
Because genesis - according to the evidence - did not happen. It is impossible. It is an allegorial myth about how the world came around for people 2000+ years ago, who knew nothing of science. Nothing. We have advanced far beyond this now. Do you think the scientific community has this great consipiracy? Do you ever wonder why only religious people believe YEC? Thats the point: you cant trust genesis. The implications for your faith are your own. Trust your instincts.
Man has no ability to create anything. He can only take what exists and transform it. Science is shortsighted because it attempts to explain infinitesimal situations from a finite view. God only knows some secrets and reveals them to whom He can trust--usually His prophets. It is far too limiting to accept most current imagined scientific points of view regarding the unexplainable, especially when the Bible always held the correct answers before man scientifically discovered them.
No it doesnt, it explains situations - any situations- from a naturalistic perspective because "GOD" is not a testable hypothesis. "Infinity" is the PHYSICAL state of nothingness. God doesnt need evidence, and is not subject to evidence. How convienent. By your logic, you would attribute lightening to God also, were science not working from a realistic perspective. Do you argue the cause of lightening? Im thinking lightening has less implications for your faith.
1 Corinthians 2:9-12 (NKJV) "But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.
But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him?" Lightening is not significant however, a rainbow is - Genesis 9:13-17
@stubabyq Atheist morons need to learn basic chemistry and Homochirality if they life could happen by chance and time, first life by chance would be its own Paradox..and could never happen..science has reached a dead end..only stubborn atheist think it can happen purely by time and chance, even evolution scientists know simple chemicals cant make life..proteins will only use the LEFT handed variety of amino acids DNA and RNA only use RIGHT.together they are TOXIC TO LIFE!!!!!!
You can believe in God, that is fine-But here is the thing, your religion is fundamentally flawed. who do you think created religion, people. Even if the bible really is the word of god it was written by a person- it was translated by a person it was edited by a person, the "real" meaning is then interpreted and told to you. Considering this why would you blindly trust the bible or your preacher? flat Earth?sun rotates around Earth?People living with dinosaurs?ark w/ millions of animals?...
You assume much. First of all I am a preacher. Second of all the Bible is not interpreted by someone and told to me. Religions are man's search for God. Christianity is God's search for man. This is the fundamental difference. It is not a philosophy; it is a relationship with the Most High God. You are confusing yourself with things you have heard and have not studied. Evidence of the earth being round has always been in Genesis 26:10. Study your Bible.
"To assert that science alone will bring the totality of truth into clear focus is the epistemological dogmatism known as scientism. There are other epistemologies that, when placed in a hierarchical system of application along with science, can provide a greater understanding of the truth." Phillip D. Collins, author of The Ascendancy of the Scientific Dictatorship
You are wasting time, the most valuable asset of all.
as I said, dumb as a box of rocks. A quote from a wordy buffoon does your cause no good. he is full of crap, much like yourself I suspect. Your arguments are poor and don't stand up to much scrutiny at all.
So you replied to a message that does not appear on your page. You obviously did not approve my message, just your own attack on it. This is why you guys do not enter the scientific forum - you repress any dissent.
If you must find ways to attack our credibility, let it be without false accusations and name calling. Your message is above. I will not repress dissent that is presented in an academic fashion.
"Drs." Willie Dye and Carl Baugh both have degrees from unaccredited (and in some cases non-existent) Universities. Dye claims to have four PhDs! Look at his bio on his webpage and look up every college the guy has attended (except one semester). He also likes to photograph himself at famous archaeological sites and caption them with phrases like "Dr. Dye and his archaeological team excavating..." Just a joke all around.
Accreditation benefits students obtaining federally guaranteed loans. If independent thought is to be gained through the process of education in the area of science, it must be conducted under conditions of intellectual freedom without religious, political, or ideological restrictions. These restrictions thrive in accredited, secularist schools minus inspiration because of a need to have proof that there is a God. Scientists that go against the status quo end up drinking hemlock.
The purpose of education is not to create independent thought, it is to provide an intellectual structure to be built upon, new ideas come through research. Scientists that go against religious dogma used to end up drinking hemlock, scientists who go against the status quo end up winning Nobel prizes. Not demanding evidence is unscientific.
Baugh does have questionable credentials. Look it up. You guys just post anything that agrees with what you're saying. You don't actually care whether it's right or wrong - it just HAS TO BE RIGHT, because it agrees with what you want to hear.
The rhetorical statements that you are spewing are indicative of your ignorance and total disregard for the knowledge of the truth. I could say you are a Nazi but without any credible facts or information to support my statement, it is a fallacy. Therefore, the comments that you have made without any factual support, are fallacies that remain unsupported.
