@Josephtube666 Central locking, electric windows and thats it on my model. No frills at all. I used to have cruise control on my last van, which I miss quite a lot with this van.
Basically my van is bog standard apart from my chrome bits which you can see in the videos.
@Bevoin1970 Not bad, mine has electric windows, heated mirrors and windscreen, leather seats (heated) ABS,ESP,TC, 4X4, rear tail lift, reversing camera, side loading camera (to keep an eye on the forklift drivers!), lightly tinted windows, cruise control, central locking etc.....
I want to get a light bar on the back, and also "chrome strips" like on yours.
@Bevoin1970 Yeah, but yours looks WAY nicer (just because you have chrome strips) . Do you know if they make "A-bars" and spotlights for Sprinters? I like mine to have a bit of chrome on it (you know to make it look a bit luxury, and make it stand out). Do you know any good places to get such things?
@Josephtube666 I have no idea to be honest about extras for Sprinters, I can only think of the internet shops. I did come across one once but now cant remember what it was called. Just google Sprinter extras, or accessories, should throw something up.
I've never got the chance to take my truck over on the ferry. Red Funnel do all our deliveries on the island; we take our loads to Southampton and then tranship them onto their trailers for the crossing and final delivery :-(
The centre of gravity of those container ships just always looks wrong; no fun I expect being on one of them in a storm!
Great shots and editing as always. Using the raw audio made it all the more enjoyable.
@1958IanM Thanks Ian - I enjoyed this trip myself, only got it because another van had broken down, made an enjoyable change for me. Food on the ferry is still diabolical.
Would so love a poke around in some of those shipping containers, must be like an Aladdin's Cave inside those. I agree they do look precarious looking ships.
Took me 13 hours Friday to deliver to East Sussex, normally 3 hour drive, due to snow and gridlock M25 etc...
Brings back memories - "The Island" was part of my patch years ago. Southampton-Cowes was a longer journey than Portsmouth-Ryde but was sometimes more convenient. Enjoyed. . . Alan
@balmesh Thanks for watching, I did a tour of the Island myself some years ago after delivering to Newport, and plenty of time to spare before my return boat, I decided to drive around the coast visiting the usual sights, thoroughly enjoyed myself, and certainly not my usual kind of Friday. Never forgot that day!.
@johnwood57 Thanks John - Isle of Wight has "London" prices which means its quite an expensive place to be in my opinion.
It does have some marvellous places to visit. I did a photo shoot video on YT I think ages ago now, has more shots of places I visited one Friday before I returned back home.
Never been in that pub, however I would if I'd been a foot passenger... ha ha
That was a great video, looked a really smooth journey, wouldn't have thought it was December, sea looked really calm. Thoroughly enjoyed the ride and scenery. Must have been a long day for you though?
Supreme quality throughout Paul both in camera work and post production. The story line was gripping, and the images kept me glued to the screen.....a superb example of what the Master of his craft can achieve..Thanks again, and may I also wish you and your wife a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for 2011...Bob
Fantastic Film Paul, the quality is amazing you must have a good camera and mount ! The Ships are massive close up like that. Isle of wight, I always think of Jack Douglas (out of the carry on films) and Sir Norman Wisdom both lived there until there Deaths. Happy Christmas :-)
I was on that today but i was on the 6.00am boat and back on the 10;30, am on it tues and wed, nice video had to take mine off due to too many comments from workmates about what i filmed, ah well
@s1u8rt This is the first time I have been on it in ages now. Nothing changes, still have to wait around if you miss the boat like I did, bought fish & chips on the boat that tasted dreadful!!! so all is normal... ha ha
It's been a while since I made the trip as you have done, but the video brings it all back. Your videos are always full of interest and I always look out for your latest trip. Keep 'em coming. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent, went ot he isle of wight a few months back on one of those ferry's. Saw loads of hovercraft coming from ryde, have a look at my video of it....

The IKEA boat is a yellow one with IKEA painted on the sides, perhaps the advertising contract is over. But still a super few minutes of film.

@ArchieUKx Thanks, never spotted that boat, and Im sure I wouldn't have missed that in bright yellow.. ha ha

Did you see the Ikea boat, or were you on it.
A nice refeshing change in your normally exelent videos, I worded that wrong, but you know what I mean. Super entertainment.
ArchieUKx 1 year ago
@ArchieUKx What does the IKEA boat look like if thats not a daft question?
I was on the same kind of boat as the one that passes us going the other way in the video. We cross mid-point.
Thanks for watching :-)
