Thank you for this video. I bought some carol's daughter scrub and it was $40. I could have just made this and maybe added some essential oils for around $10! I love your videos keep up the good work!
FYI - I have found an economical Sea Salt Scrub at Trader Joe's. The 'Purify' grapefruit/chamomile sea salt scrub is nicely scented. Only $6.95 for a 22 oz tub.
A little more than your solution - but MUCH cheaper than the ones in the mall.
Thanks so much. I have bought a lot of the scrubs and they are too harsh for my skin. So that is wasted money. Your way looks great. I will look to see if I can do the baking soda update you have as well.
I just wanted to share with you that I went to the mall last weekend and was stopped by a salespersons who wanted to share her sea salt exfoliator with me. I immediately thought of you and told her that I had sea salt in my home. She said the it was a different sea salt. Well, she proceeded to wash my hands and after all of that, she charged me $60 for the mixture and a lotion. Go figure. I am so glad that you decided to share this vital information to us. GOD BLESS
Thanks lovekisses Iam going to try this and let you know how it worked. O and Missprettytexas, I think she covers the labels because she doesnt want to give away free advertisments they gotta pay her first girl :) with the exception of Glad Lol.
Sugar scrub or salt scrub will both leave your skin exfoliated, smooth and soft.
Using either one depends on the condition of your skin initially. Also, I wouldn't use a salt scrub after shaving..ouch :( Some people use oil with the sugar/salt scrub..which can make the floor of your tub or shower VERY slippery..
As with any beauty product, I would do a skin test..just as I would with a store purchased product..hope this helps.. :)
You must have read my mind, becaue i've been searching the web trying to find out how to make my own body scrubs.Tell me how to add some fragrance to it also.
look up " CARRIER OILS" on the net, many fragrance available, u can try coastal scents for begginers, but they arent the best there are many many companies that carry lavendar-rose-gardenia-orange-lemon whatever floats your boat
I love being frugal !!!!!! I'll let ya know tommorrow how it works for me!!! i will definetly trt this out tonight..thanx soo much for such a great beauty tip.. :)

IndigoBlueSole 1 year ago
@IndigoBlueSole i've never tried it with epsom salt. i think it may be a tiny bit too coarse.

can it be used on the face and private areas
eyvond1 2 years ago
ohhhhhh nooooo!!! lol
I wouldn't use this on the "sensitive area".
I think it would be a little too abrasive for the face too
lovekisses99 2 years ago 2
you can use baking soda on your face just mix with your daily cleanser, its a great exfoliant.
Tru4Afrika 2 years ago
@eyvond1 oh gosh no, lol what she said. espically after shaving, NEVER do that haha
