I to agree with his last statement, I am 17 and am learning the violin. I've only only played for three days and i can play 3 of my scales, ode to joy, and also minuet in g by bach.
I agree with his last word that anyone can learn to play violin. I am 62 and just started learning. I am doing good according to my young teacher. and I will be better as time goes by. I hope people stop telling other Oh I think you are too old for that. one day I will post my best performance on youtube.
@hossein1326 I also think that age doesn't matter when you want to learn to play the violin and I got excited to see that this comment was posted 3 years ago and that I would see the progress of an adult learner. But there's nothing on your channel :(
Have you stopped playing the violin or did you just post anything?
Incredible. I had the incredible luck to go to school with the fantastically gifted Daniel Hope who is amazing. However, Vengerov is beyond anything I've ever heard. He takes my breath away.
such a bright man. "built for the instrument." First time I have heard that said by a concert violinist. Thank God someone said it! What a gift to the world of classical music.
Great artist, very interesting interview. He is such a pleasant character, as well as one of the greatest musicians. Thanks very much for posting this.
Maxim Vengerov is my favourite violinist. He accomplished so much when he was young! Interesting fact (if u didn't know) He first played "The Last Rose of Summer" (Ernst) when he was only 14 years old. He recorded it onto his first album along with some other difficult pieces.
lol yer, I was busking with a friend, she's 16, and was playing that concerto, I think she's pretty good, but lot's of people play that concerto just to give themselves a boost. I love when Perlman plays tho! He's great! Does he have a recording of Last Rose of Summer?
Vengerov's Evah Pirazzi strings are specially made by Pirastro to withstand brute force(techniques such as extreme left-hand pizz e.g. La Ronde des Lutins). They are [custom made] called "Bullet-proof" Evah Pirazzi's.
One problem with me is that I'm a pretty good player, but I'm not much of a showman - audiences really put me off, and I want to fix it because playing for people in various situations seems to fun! Vengerov's a very well-rounded musician in all such aspects, well done to him :)
what vengerov does is expressing his emotions and give all the energy he has in his hands and his fingers i can really understand him because i feel the same thing when i play and thats what making him be so perfect in his expression and his tecnique
Obviously he's so succesfull in the musical world because he knows how to manage his own marketing image, he's a really talented musician, but also a showman and a musician respected for his image. What about Ivry Gitlis or Gilles Apap , Kavakos or Repin ??
