I tried out for snare this year and man you gotta b intense

our drumline is the biggest high school one in the country and the best show one so if we are as bad as you say why are we the band thats traveled the most to macy's and pasadena? To snickers, thanks for being unbiased and enjoy your trip to California, be sure to get some sleep before that monstrous route.

Homewood drumline is a lot bigger this year. And people who say this is dirt, this is the first jam of the whole season, so yeah, it's not goin to be homewoods best. The drumline gets a lot better as the year goes on. Believe me, I'm on the drumline.

I still like my band, 86 people. Ah how nice it is to march 3 snares, 2 tenors and 4 basses.

i do have to say that is a pretty impresive drum line.... but ours this year (albertville HS) will be pretty good this year, hopefully our bands will meet again sometime this year at troy if we go or if you guys go to midsouth! goodluck in macys in 2011 were going to pasedena in 2011 :)

Not bad...would love to hear the tenors playing on properly tuned drums...even the show bands have cranked up their tuning schemes...not bad though guys...great uniforms...haha

how big is your band? and it may cost way less to buy cymbals but to many cymbals and they can over power everyone else.

i would say its about 300-350 students, and we only field about maybe 10 cymbals, the rest play in the PIT.

So, yes to many would over power everyone else, but #1 we have a big drumline, with some strong players, and #2 we only have about 10 with us on the field.

@fosterdrummer lol we have around 600 people in my high schools marching band and we only field like 7 cymbals i think, but then again we have 11 snares and 6 quads :P

you can NEVER have enough drums., and we have 39 people in our persuasion section this year.

witch, when you think about it, it costs way less to buy more cymbals, and another bass drum than it is to buy pit instruments.
