  • Don't understand a word they're saying but the chorus and this is still one of the best music videos I have seen in YEARS.

  • sweety4928 soo funny!

  • VERY NICE!!!!

    youtube.com/watch?v=H2BUYtVhC98

    - - - RENDERING IMAGINATION - - -

  • Lame... the original is MUCH better, specifically because the music actually captures the tune, and isn't just trying to advertise the band.

  • At first when i saw the jets im like you go boys but then when they got destroyed im like D:

  • Amazing

  • Go on then....

  • I highly doubt that.

  • Yes, impress us! Make a video of this quality, Cujo Ramsey. This piece of crap you say has more than 5.2 million viewers as of today. Top that...and if you can't. Then you're just another piece of shit!

  • so what. it's a cool video not to say the band and their sound is good ,hope to see them more .

  • It looks really nice. I'm glad that the creator has a chance in Hollywood because of it.

  • good

  • good

  • I didn't love the ending but this was done very well, all power to him. Looking forward to his feature work.

  • holy fuck it looks so crazy

  • Having worked in the animation business for 25 years I highly doubt that this video was made for 300 dollars.

The software alone would cost several thousand and the computers needed would cost several thousand more.

You also have factor the value the three years it took to make this thing which would be several thousand dollars more. I made a 3-D cartoon for free in just two weeks but I was allowed to use $60,000 worth of equipment

    and software.

  • so the kid has friends with good equipment & lives in a country where things are not retarded overpriced like in the US, nice that you're an "expert" & all but THIS is your comment after seeing an unbelievable film by a novice? I think you're jealous & had nothing better to do than call the kid a liar, & I'll bet your cartoon sucked.

  • @oprep3 You are a stupid, all know in uruguay that this film was maked with 3dMax, FumeFx, Glu3d, AfterEffects, Photoshop y Premiere. And the 300 dolars went to the actors that was her friends. And in Uruguay is the first science fiction movie in history of mi country. All rest was maked with HUEVOS!!! a puero huevo!!! and dedication, the guy Federico Alvarez, make this film in 2 years, 3 months one year and other 3 months the next year. Is for a Video Clip of the grup Snake of Uruguay. Bye.-

  • @santiis091 This is an AMAZING amateur film! Even more impressive that this is the first sci-fi to come from there! You guys really have something to be proud of!

  • Amazing skills for only 300 bucks.

  • nice music, can anyone tell me what's the song title & band name? gracias!

  • I know dozens of animators who have made similar video shorts as part of the CGI training that was done in the 1990s by government funded jobs programs. Many were as good or better than this and none of those people are getting movie deals. Most of them are now doing other jobs. I just find it hard to believe that this film would attract

so much attention when so many experienced animators can't get a job.

  • @oprep3 Well thats a good thing you see it that way because now YOU know that everyone has its day.If he can make this movie with 300 bucks then he clearly deserves 30 mill to make a better one.If i had a huge company i wouldnt give 30 mill to a random animator either.Maybe you shouldnt hate on this guy,he did a great job.

  • Nice....War of the worlds part 2 ^^

    looks nice

  • this should have been a 30 SECOND TO MARS video

  • lol im attacking !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • why robots at first shoot to buildings using they resorces and then drop bomb on the town destroying everything...?

  • It´s more fun!

  • the band its call " snake"

  • this sound sounds so funking dope, whose the artist?

  • I have my doubts about this 30 million dollar deal.

We heard the same thing about the short 405 that

was posted on You Tube 9 years ago and as far as I know those guys have never made a feature film yet.

Technically 405 was just as good using 1999 technology so I don't what is so new about a bunch of robots.

Organic 3-D creatures are much harder to build and animate then robots.

  • He's not just "making robots", it's a cinematogrophy thing. He's making a film, building suspension, building everything up to the climax at the end. The beginning is very good and frankly I found it quite breathtaking the first time I saw it because I had no idea what was about to come, and using a kid pulls up a wide contrast between innocence and total mayhem. It's all the little things, not just the robots.

  • @oprep3

you have a good point but we have to accept:

animating this entire thing must be fucking hard....and its really well done

    look at 3:27 for example....

and thinking about it.....i have my doubts too of the 30 million thing

but i think the guy who made this really deserves it

  • he did got a $30 million deal

it was on yahoo the other day

  • err it was $300 million..

  • is this music from the movie Mars Attacks? im pretty sure itis

  • wow great video! buen video esta bien chido!

  • This is outstanding for what it cost this guy needs a break. Am working on several short CG on a shoe string budget I got my work on you tube and yeah I know the long hours of rendering frames hoping that it works out right, my works a different genera , but I say good luck to anyone that gets finance to make their dreams come true.

  • Meh I got 40 computers on 4 render farms, 2 work stations to around 23,000 dollar.. Now I don't own any of this but since my school don't use them I do.. Then again, a clay render took me 17 hours on THAT system for 1 minute.. If this guy has done this on one computer, he've waited say.. A year? I don't think that's the case but still.

  • Loved the music.... no-one seems to have come up with identifying the band yet..... any ideas people? Many thanks. Simon, Hertford UK

  • @donkmac : In fact, this movie was made as the video clip for an uruguayan band called "SNAKE", and the tittle of the video (ATAQUE DE PANICO -Panic Attack-) is the name of the sond also. The musicians and the film director are close friends. Hope this helps you. Rgds

  • millions for this shit. Hollywood is desperate to buy from stupid shit for stupid ass people.

  • Goes to show you you dont really need to be talented to make movies. All you need to do is sell hollywood a new twist on something and a break and you just made a million!

yes, I did see the knock off twister on syfy. Purely pathetic. I missed my calling as a writer/producer!!

  • I LOL'D.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow,

this is possibly the worst song/music video evar.

  • @lankablanc wow, talk about complete ignorance, keep your stupid naive comments to urself unless they are constructive.

  • Haha,

    Ur silly,

    I like that.

  • 300 bucks my butt, land of the lost cost what 200 million? and it had bouncy flexible feet on the monsters. get real, that was on par with some of the best sci fi flicks out there. yeah, 300 bucks, yeah.

  • 300 is worth a lot more in that country than in the US. It is very possible it cost low. All it takes is someone who knows his computer animation shit and computers. If you had the smarts and know about how animation works, you could do it!

  • nice special effects for 300 dollars

  • who sang this song?

  • the name of the band is snake

  • 300 dollars goes a long way. some people could've donated their services, the little kid at the begining might've been a son, nephew, brother or cousin. lastly, USA does not have the conner market on ingenuity and resourcefulness.....slumdog millionare??

  • there ya go, ;) some one is actually thinking:D

  • quit the superiority act mdwhit its part of the theme. Good music video and pure luck on the deal lol

  • i liked the video i just keep watching it and finding things that were not consistent i.e. I thought at the end after the robots explode that there was pieces of debris and cars flying all over but the buildings themselves seemed to not be affected. But, I guess when you put a $300 price tag on something then I would say that it was great clip and good luck.

  • "Transformers" meets "War of the Worlds."

  • what is the bands name!!! plz anyone

  • I dont no if i believe it was $300 but it still does look prety cool

  • This director just landed a 30 million dollar deal with Sam Raimi (producer of Spider Man). Congrats. Let me know what effects software and program you used to do this. Totally awesome!

  • This did not cost 300 dollars !

  • gotta love someone who can work on a budget. :)

  • Also, who loves the fact that the guy at the beginning will drive towards the robots but run on foot away from them? LOL!!!

  • lol,,, right,,, classic, movie trait.

  • i heard he made millions by this if i wrong plz correct me thnx

  • he didn't actually make millions on it, it got him a contract, $30 million.

  • ok thnx dude:]

  • why would aliens attack uruguay?

  • @docblackhole Who says they are aliens?

  • @docblackhole None of their weapons appear "alien" in any way.

  • The question you should be asking is...

Why wouldn't they be attacking Uruguay?

    Hehehe...

  • XDD, LOL.

  • If aliens attack PLANER EARTH, USA is only a tiny fraction....let's not get full of ourselves, it's not becomig......

  • To create jobs in USA!

  • Interesting remake. Superior production value.

It is an outright lie that it cost $300 to make this film. The camera alone is over that price.

    Stop the Lies

  • ca c'est tres bon

  • wow!!!!!its really nice short film......its better than any other sci-fi hollywood film. ...its great.. from jesun -PHILIPPINES

  • NO WAY he made this for $300

  • true oh my fuckin god

  • who are the cunts cutting their shit music into the video and who's the bitch "sweety4928" think she is, fucking sbout with a brilliant piece of work?????????????????????

  • so this was just a music video???

  • this 4min video will be in Hollywood soon.

  • they use the same song as in 28 days later- although i like the song a lot, be original and use another song

  • AWESOME job!

  • que video tan padrisisisisismo me gusto mucho..i love this video

  • all of that... and it cost him 400$ to do....

    amazing

  • WTF are the a-holes who cut into the video? Some punk-ass band decided to ruin the video? What BS. Don't watch this shit, find the real video and watch it w/o the faggots in the band

  • This guy just got a 30mil contract with Sam Raimi, to do it for real for the big screen, f'ing lucky!!

  • Comment removed

  • wow...is holly wood so desperate to crank out shit, there giving millions of dollars away to any smuck they think can spin the same old crap into somthing they can sell to the ignorent masses of america??

  • Dude I was thinking the same thing but didnt wanna say it.

  • What is the name of the song used? It is awsome. The film style, music, lack of sound, no script, and the fact you can just tell waht is going on visualy, makes it an incredable shirt film!

  • Its the name of the film.Ataque de Panico. Panic Attack.

  • $300 only?? ONLY? Unbelievable. How much did he pay for the extra actors? The Graphics? Cool vid. I liked it, like a hollywoods. Realistic.

  • whoa the views have doubled since the last tme i watched this 3 hours ago

  • cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool lol

  • too bad the song sucks

  • how long is the movie? and is by any chance its going to be releasing in usa but in english??... this is siiccccckkkk

  • Independence Day, Cloverfield, War of the Worlds, Transformers.. ...unoriginal, but damn good job for $300. Either way...Hollywood sounds like it's desperate..$30 million for this? Writers in Hollywood must be awful.

  • Yes all this is, is Cloverfield with robots, very well done

  • Nice. l~D

  • I can't wait for this to become a feature film! This success story makes me wonder why other people that have short films on youtube didn't get any recognition for their short films like "White Red Panic".

  • does anyone know the song name and the artist?

  • Those of you who live under a rock and have never seen a movie of this type (where alien robots attack the earth), I can understand how this is cool for you.

Now, for those of you walking, living and breathing, and think that this has the makings of a great scifi you need to get your heads examined.

Robots and spaceships attacking the earth? Hello?? Do I really need to list a bunch of movies already made, like this one?

Im gonna make a vid of a shark attacking a beachtown in the summer!!!!!!!!

  • @Iamtherealebonilla

There really isn't much in Scifi today that is original, what makes this special in my eyes is that it was supposedly made for $300.

  • Hey if you make that Shark movie there's a good chance SyFy channel will pick it up. Have you seen the garbage their passing off as Sci Fi now...like Ice Twisters!

  • wow he mustve had alot of help. this video is freaking cool and work like this takes allllot of work to do. Congrats to this guy and his team. I dont hate on anyone because i one day too wish for a break like this.

  • Hmm think someone played earth defense force...... all it needs now is the E.D.F lol

  • Regardless of the originality of content it still kicks ass. The robots and explosions aren't what attracted Hollywood; it was the cinematic views and emotions tied to the views. The creator understands what moves people and the robots and explosions were only the vehicle to drive this emotion. Also, he didn't create the music to add content to his vision, he crafted his vision to match the music. Much harder, in my opinion, and yet they mesh perfectly.

  • Very good, Very intence.

  • nice one.....

  • This is a slap to the face of all of the posers who have thousands of dollars, live in the US and still suck! $300 budget but a lot of people probably worked for free. Mr. Alvarez, you rock!!!

  • @AngeliasDad

The US may suck, but we definitely know how to create hype and market success stories. What has your country done for you lately, Daddy? I notice you didn't bother to put where you're from. Ashamed, are we?

  • $30 million ....i saw in the news

  • Very impressive for 300 bucks! I'll go see his big budget flick when it comes out.

  • Nice vid, whats the name of the Band / Song? It rocks.

  • why is everyone calling him a genius? He copied all those images from sept 11 footage

  • Uh yea he did get 30M dollars (THAT WAS HIS BUDGET) to make the movie!

  • Comment removed

  • For some reason people think he just got 30M dollars. Um, no, he got a budget to make a movie, and if it is a successful movie, he'll probably do well. But it will have to be a successful movie. He got a shot at it, and that's awesome, but you don't get 30M for this. lol

  • congratulation!!

  • $30 million bucks for this, huh? Guess I'm in the wrong line of work.

  • LOL!!! Me too! I need to start making youtube videos! Hhahah!

  • Good on ya for success! good on ya.

Gives me an idea... stars a fellow who looks alot like me who walks into a kewl bar scene only to find out he's the only man in the world! the room full of women look at him and this kewl 70's music starts playing and... aw, no..nm won't work.

  • he made this for only 300$ that is insane

  • true this is a remake of independence day but still those are some kickass graphics

  • Why did the Robots waste their time killing people and shooting stuff when in the end they were gonna just nuke the city anyway???

  • @EightFlew0ver thats because robots have emotions to such as having a little fun lol

  • last scene is such a rip off of independence day.

  • yeah, maybe, but independance day didn't cost $300.

  • So did someone take the original film & add a random band singing?

  • LOL my book will blow this film outta the water. This is just a dumb ass remake of mixed movies, and that's the problem everyone wants to make remakes of every god damn movie rather than come up with new fantastic ideas.

  • WOW!!! if this does go to the movies and im pretty sure it will. i will go see. who cares if he paid $300 or what not to make this vid. the thing is he got into hollywood.

  • If this was originally made in 2003

how come we keep hearing it was just posted yeasterday? Did Sam Raime make the deal three years ago?

This film proves that claims of multimillion dollar budgets for CGI

films are just a bunch of hype. They can

    be made very cheaply.

  • Amen to that. $200million for a film and many countries in the world don't have that much for a year of running their country.

  • its only been posted about a day ago and its all over the internet and you've got a deal with hollywood great job!

  • Amazing video i cant wait 2 see this in theaters and the song was perfect for this

  • I heard on Yahoo that he won't be remaking this short into a feature movie, but plans to make a new one.....

  • This guy got a $30 million dollar deal with Sam Raimi! Holy cow!

  • whether people confuse this with Transformers or Independance day or whether people think is "creative" or not. The bottom line is: people will go see this film and to Hollywood, thats just it. They want the Bottom line. So don't mis judge an idea.

  • e... p... i... c...!

  • i read bout this in the paper today (in ireland)

and had to look it up ,ill b seeing this in movies :)

  • this is amazing for just 300$

  • WOW! pretty good.

  • special effects, robots, destruction = movie deal

great more hollywood crap, Transformers mixed with Independence Day... really creative

  • amazing ingenuity.

  • flick=good

    song=yuck

  • way to go

  • technology and u could make a movie thats all it takes well the creative mind too, This movie looks like it will b really good

  • Awesome movie! Not for $300!

  • i agree great vid,,,,,,,,,,,,, $300? doubt it.

  • $300 US probably goes alot further in Uruguay than it does here lol.

  • Great... outsourced entertainment now is it?

  • good point

  • The vid is great, but the song is god awful. I bet he used the $300 to make the band sign a pre-nup...

  • this is awesome

  • For only 300 dollars this short movie was fantastically made.

  • Congratulations! Anxious to see what Hollywood is going to do for you and what you're going to do for your fans. When you get there please use never-heard-of- actors (worked for George Lucas) and movies that are original and not re-makes of other movies please! Great job!

  • wow its like every sci fi movie i have ever seen. how boring

  • Okay so im guessing for $300 he used Blender for the efffects, in which case I take my hat off to this guy he's got talent. im a lightwave, zbrush, after effects user and I can't touch this.

  • COOL, they said that they would pay him 30 million if it turned into a movie!!! Quite talented fella
