@afrerose1 Hello, tj16r is in Germany, he's been there for 8 months. His Escalade is locked up in storage so is all of his other cars. I have his keys to check up on his property once an a while until he comes back. To answer your question for him its been holding up great, no problems at all, I've used it once or twice and hope he never sell this thing, but I really thought he could have just bought the Yukon Hybrid instead.

No Sir., If you feel the need to tell others you have arrived, you get the gas only version with it's kick ass 6.2L and 403 HP which goes 0-to-60 in just 6.2 secs., This thing with it's 6.0 and 332 it's for those that want to show off and refuse to be seen in a Prius or Escape. When GM decide to make an Escalade Hybrid with at least 35 MPG city, 500 HP and 0-to-60 in 5 secs. I will consider it. Until then, Only the gas-powered will be my only choice.

yeah apparently a lot of guys who buy the Hybrids are embarrassed about the giant logos on the side because their neighbors make fun of them, so they remove the giant billboard stickers :P I never see these so called wonderful Hybrids here in the wintertime when we can easily get to - 40 here in Canada, and the battery has to charge, fine for California, but not here

it is NOT very efficient. this is a joke of a hybrid. you call 21 mpg efficient. I call 35 mpg barely low emissions.

8yr/100K mile warranty on the hybrid battery system is pretty damn good, those things are expensive to fix.

@UFCextra the reason the batteries are so long lasting is because car companies sacrificed battery capacity for long lasting batteries.  most hybrids use NiMH (nickel metal hydride). also, if they used lithium-ion batteries they would take up less space. however lithium batteries do not last as long.

why would you buy a luxary/hybrid from gm. They cant make a quality interior to save their lives(literally) and they cant make a reliable gas engine let alone new hybrid technology.@juxonix8-Hybrids use electricity at low speeds so your not saving any on the highway

Lol, you need to check up on GM if you think they still cannot make good interiors. Look at the interior of the CTS, LaCrosse, Regal, Malibu, and others. As far as reliable engines go the 3800 V6 was ranked as one of the best engines of the 20th century because of it's combination of power, fuel efficency, and reliability. Lets not even start talking about the LSx engines.

The improvement was more on the city milage where the Escalade is 11-13 MPG. Almost doubling that is quite impressive. Especially when you consider this vehicle can still tow a boat AND carry 8 people. Something that other hybrids cannot do.

@txmball93 neither can the escalade hybrid,due to the fact thats its a hybrid,they had to reduce the towing capicity down to 6000lbs,also its only awd,their no locker center diff or low range gearbox,so it wouldn't really be that much better off road then a pruis.

total ripp off yo, he said the hybrid rwd models get 20/21 mpg, whats the point of that, the regular rwd caddys get higher mileage then the awd models anyway, 14/18 mpg rwd gas, i mean its a hybrid ripp off, it would only be really worth it if it was awd and getting 20/21 and if those stickers and logos would just go away. dont tell anyone its a hyrbid ssshhh lol hybrid is just considered gay, why would u put stickers all over it and put it to shame like that.

And this is for how much again? When will one get their money's worth on gas savings pay off? I'm sure there are some that can afford it and could care less about the gas price but honestly, the average American can't afford this. One thing for sure is that every American will pay extra tax $ to bail out GM for products like this. Also, 20-21 mpg is probably way over the real world mpg.

fyi Prius's are also marked up so that you never get your money's worth out of it. Plus considering the premium gas that escalades use (i own two) i would imagine that the savings would rack up far faster than a prius.

For a large SUV, I would think a diesel hybrid would be a better Idea than gas.
