  • It's not like a lot of this stuff in his video won't work, and the basics work fine, especially if you're a big mutant like Bas Rutten, but I don't know how effective a lot of this would be, since a lot of people don't know the mechanics to properly pick up a guy and smash him into the ground. He should explain that, or offer alternatives, so it's not just about being a big, strong brute, since most people aren't like Bas Rutten.

  • @tgreer0120 If you dont know how to lift him up or smack him down you should pobably run, not fight....

  • @Griffin199426, I wouldn't agree with that and that someone should be able to (or know how to properly), but people shouldn't engage no matter how much tougher they think they are. In fact, if you are, you just have the potential that the person will be making up for their weakness by carrying a blade. Also, you probably risk more legal trouble. Running should always be an option, if possible, but how often can people really run and get away is a good question, too.

  • @tgreer0120 they shouldnt, but they do. a knife was an option for me, cs-gas is better. but if you want to learn this techniques to fight you have to practice, you havent got time to think and remeber what he said about an arm-bar if you are allready in it. so you need to practice to be able to use this martial art, an when you do this you maybe might probably get to know how to throw yourself at your enemy. ram your shoulder into his face or your elbow in his stomach xD

  • @Griffin199426, well that's the aspect that most people fail to do, or lack that exposure to doing, and that's to "train". I'd wager that most of the people commenting on fight/martial arts/training videos on Youtube, probably watch and comment more than they actually train. No doubt that training to get used to it and to react faster, is better than just watching videos/ideas and training them only a little (or not at all). But then, it is the Internet. :-)

  • @tgreer0120 I disagree with that. Many, if not all, of the moves he demonstrates here use joint leverage to injure the antagonist - twisting joints and bones in directions they aren't meant to twist. It's designed so that anyone of any fitness level can understand how to defend themselves. Remember, at the very beginning he says 'never underestimate the kick to the groin'. And he encourages using your elbows and knees, parts of your body that will inflict damage regardless of your size.

  • @Y2KillerSPOOBLY, Definitely joint locks, etc. are effective, but I was talking about many of his techniques were based on picking up and slamming a large person, hitting them in the head or kicking them to cause a lot of damage, and that's just not something the common person can do, at least not without training, strength and knowing those levers, which Bas doesn't go into detail about. Of course this stuff works, but for how many without proper knowledge? That's always true.

  • @tgreer0120 Thats true, and I don't think anybody without boxing or mma training would remember or be capable of the more advanced moves you see. In his defence, in situations where he does slam somebody to the ground or throw them, its usually the only way out. Like the rear headlock. You can't elbow or squirm your way out, pulling his legs out from under him is the most effective exit. You'd be lucky to score a good 'HEEL TO DAH BALLS' tied up like that. But I hear what you're saying.

  • Jesus watched this 9 times!!! LOL!

  • I love his voice!

  • 3.02 reminds me of tony halme vs randy couture ^^

  • im on his side.

  • I wouldnt want to be the guy in the red shirt.

  • 9 People watched this in the graveyard.

  • Ive never questioned whether or not Bas has killed anyone untill this videos. O_O

  • 2:21 rugby tackle :D

  • the 5:05 move is hard with a guy bigger then you im 190 pound and i had a guy who was like 230 pounds and it was impossible to do but still great if it was for the right guy ive used alot of his stuff it works that one is just hard with a guy bigger then you

  • 9 people are paralyzed and bedridden from picking a fight with bas rutten.

  • 5:20 bas would be realy hurt on the concrete

  • i can imagine actually breaking his neck( around 4:55 ). hurts just thinkin bout it

  • 9 people called this guys wife fat

  • "i break his neck like that" hahahaha

  • The 9 dislikes where the people Bas kicked out of the disco he worked at.

  • I'm having trouble training lethal moves because none of my sparing partners will let me stab them in the neck with broken ash trays, etc....how can I practice

  • if bas rutten was my physic teacher I would get an A

  • Train these techniques and use them humbly....only use them when you need to otherwise you'll get karma.

  • LOL Bas shuffles at 00:22

  • PUNCHING TIME XD

  • u tricks kill poeple ! :(

  • Bas wymiata !!!!!!!!!!

  • everything he tells you works when you are a 205-pound-ufc-champion.

  • what if the opponent is bigger and heavier than me? How do i lift tt guy??

  • "You will break his neck and he will die" .....ok.....

  • 01:10 Hes shuffling :D

  • at 02:34 it looks like he kicked his head off lol

  • lmao some of his "finishes" could kill people

  • @jirvine35 Lol yeah ,man. Dis stuff is lethal :P

  • I LOLED at 2:22

  • "Thats exactly what I want."

    2:17 lol xD

  • where did he find that orange guy? dammit!

  • HAMMERTIME!

  • Bass should be in Tekken

  • hahahah I would imangened how he would look like in Tekken

  • Lol, "you will break his neck, he will die.

  • @Jaredinator IT'S STARTING TIME AGAIN!!

  • Its starting time again

  • 5:38 i cant help but envisioning bas letting that bomb go and see the guys head fly through the ring lol

  • Yeah, every single move he does ends up with both of them on the floor. Which is a BRILLIANT idea if you're outside in 110 degree weather and you take your opponent and yourself to the burning hot concrete. Oh, and it also works wonders when you take yourself and your opponent to the floor with broken glass in a bar.

Bas Rutten is a great cagefighter in an establishment where there's safety rules. But he's shit in the streets. Prove me wrong!

  • @DimebagVision you are a dick HE IS A STREET LEGEND FUCKER

  • @RoomService21

Oh really? I had no idea King of Pancrase was street fighting.

  • @DimebagVision usually in a street fight you wont care about those things immediatly. he use to be a bouncer. you sir are proven wrong.

  • @1987Challenger3

Yeah... a bouncer. I will need documentation of his previous occupations prior to being a cage fighter. Otherwise it's just a marketing gimmick sold to cage fighting nuthuggers

  • @DimebagVision sir you need to check out the earlier parts of this dvd.but id say watch part 2 atleast. where he does not want and does not advice anyone at all to go to the ground. and the set is not on a ring but instead on a bar. but i understand completely your comment though, seeing on this part of the dvd it looks nothing like the street fight i saw on the beginning of the dvd. watch it first of course before you respond.

  • @DimebagVision uuhh hes shit in the streets ? prove you wrong? you and bas in the street then we'll see whos shit haha

  • @DimebagVision

Confront him in the streets then. Bet you won't make it out alive lol

  • You don't knee somebody in the head when they're on the ground. You will kill them.

  • @WTFNOYOU the dvd is called LETHAL street fighting lethal means like deadly..

  • @WTFNOYOU Its you or them

  • Being a wrestler I naturally dropped my knee for the double it in a fight once because the guy bum rushed me.

I got him down and won but, the next day MY knee hurt so much I couldn't train for at least a week.

Grappling helps a ton because it's basic knowledge that it's bad to be on your back in a fight (unless you know BJJ which very few people do and the guys that do don't really pick fights me being one of them)

The lateral works wonders on the street.

Hurts them WAY more than it does you

  • Damn I feel bad for his daughter's boyfriend he must get the "dingidy dingidy dang bangity boom dee bang bang" from Bas 24/7. Not to mention the oh so famous " KICK TO DEH GROIN! "

  • the worst part about bas is that he won't jusp cripple you, he will do it in the most humiliating way he can think of.

  • bas is one of those people that you don't ever want to fuck with

  • My favorite move , (ex rugby player) :D, btw who wants to mess with bas, got to be insain or something , or to stupid :D

  • i am trained in martial arts and various fighting styles including Krav maga and i pretty much say this guy will kick my butt

  • At the take down from running, 3:10, will it work if he is heavier than you or taller?

    Please respond, Bass. Thanks.

  • lol, is bas tellin me to mount a guy

  • fart in his face be sure to pack coke

  • i´m not sure about the way to escape a gouillotine choke.

  • finish the job=KTFO,..nice job 8D

  • 2:22 is a rugby tackle... great technic ;o)

  • you will break his neck, he will die.

  • dont fuck with the bas

  • yeah but i dont think the guilotine choke defense will work on an very large man, i mea an obese one , cuz its to heavy to lift him

  • I'm only 5'7" and there are a multitude of things you can do; my cousin is 6'8" and we spar often. First: you can clinch and drag him toward you, creating space and bending him over. from there you can blast him with knees or just go for the choke. Personally, I'd create the space from the clinch and blast him with "heel kicks" to the inner thigh quickly , landing as many as possible, then put pressure from above and back up. If he hits his knees, take the choke quickly, otherwise, repeat.

  • @alinbjj ,

In a street fight, depending on how serious the threat is, I would kick the big man in the balls, trying to place his balls in his throat (basically, I would follow through, as Bas shows with his leg strikes). But honestly, my first instinct is to step my left foot forward and to my left side, hands up to block, and pivot my hips. With the bottom of my right foot, kick his knee through, crushing/ inverting the knee. Cruel, I know, but at that point. You could walk away.

  • @alinbjj

Sorry. I realize now that you meant what do you do if the big guy has You in the guilotine. Remember when Bas steps "around" the guy to his right? See where Bas's foot is? If you step a little further around the guys heel and lock the heel up with your foot, his foot can't move. Now use your weight and his to have him fall (pull him) to his back. It's almost the same thing, only not as punishing to the attacker.

  • never put on your "hustler" t-shirt when you face Bas Rutten....EVER!!!

  • just dont ever face bas...

  • That poor guy in the red shirt has nightmares

  • oi skeetskeet this inst baz rutten, anyways as long as your center of gravity is lower than the other person you can lift them and do all takedowns, they could have like 40kg on you and you can stil take them down.

  • bas is the man

  • 5:25 Bas going to smash his head own on floor !!!

  • "everything to finish the fight!"

it's easy to finish in prison

  • @ofpeter im sure you can use these techniques in prison too.

  • I just love Bas Rutten !

  • i love how he is worried about putting them in wheelchairs yet like every move he does involves breaking someones nuts or legs.

  • But Bas, what if you can't lift them up?

  • don't question Bas.

  • Train some basic strenght then you can lift up about 70% of the people.

  • @00:23 you can call that 'MC Hammer' move (Can You Touch This)...

  • 0:24 Post-modern dancing :-? hmm...

  • Sweet.... Now i know like 5 more ways to kill people hahahaha

  • 4:43

"And I break his neck, like...that."

Wow. Bas just showed us how to kill a guy. AWESOME!!!!!

  • bas rutten is the offspring of rambo and predator.

  • @DelDrew but with a hilarious sense of humor.

  • @DelDrew haha YES!

  • @DelDrew bas got trained by chuck norris

  • @diehard5830 chuck got trained by bas rutten

  • @DelDrew well isn't he somehow related to Chuck Norris too?

  • @DelDrew I thought he yelled at me with funny jaw movements the other day. :D

  • larwhelan, you are right ! :)

  • dont do this in a fight, it will kill him, he will die ahahahahahah!

  • LOL I FEEL SORRY FOR THE GUY IN THE RED xD.

  • damn..id hate to be Amir Sadollah right now...lol

  • Then of course, it's starting time again, punching anything you want!

  • hes the last guy i would want to pick a fight with.

  • if hes not a diffrent person maby a BLANK kick to the face BLANK is rite thats all hes gonna see

  • why would we buy the dvd when u have it here for free? haha

  • the guy is vicious id hate to fight him

  • This guy basically teaches you how to kick people's asses.

  • No shit.

  • Thanks for pointing the facts, Captain Obvious.

  • 4:30 , what a beast ! :D

  • this guys culd kick the shit out of anyonr

  • Bas Rutten is amazing I remember watching him on Channel Z in Taiwan when he fought in Japan

  • 1:33 is crazy

  • or go over to australia, insult some aussie about his country, and pull that move on him

    lmao

  • Comment removed

  • * 4:30

  • 4:50

  • wow u gotta love rutten hes hilarius xD

most of these moves really work

  • of course they do, bas is an mma legend

  • I love this guy lol..i would love to meet him

  • good move for a pitcher when a HIT batter attacks

  • lol could u imagine that?

like a hit batter charges the mound and the pitcher busts out some of this niggas moves on him hahaha that shit would be on espn fer sure

  • I wonder how effective this stuff would be against someone proficient in krav maga, judo, hapkido, bjj.. etc etc

  • well some of these moves r actually from judo, jujitsu etc

  • Most of them area not just some. Small joint manipulation from Aikido and Hapkido, Leg and arm bars from BJJ/JJ, Disarming techniques from Krav Maga.

  • yea bud many of bas ruttens attacks are rooted in both krav maga and judo.but most of the time just plain common sense.

  • 0:20 ehh he can still kick him ?

  • nah dude. try kick while ur being forced forward. Unless u like gumby no way can u kick with any power. even if u do kick him there goes one of ur legs, id prob put em on his back

  • lmao 4:40, he says I break his neck so casually

  • bas has it all!

    LEGEND

  • Lol. Look at 5:20 how easy he lifts this guy. Awsome fighting technique, power and inteligents. Bas got it all.

  • If i was ever brought to a point that i had to resort to the techniques shown at 5:20, sorry bad guy, we're landing on your head!

  • VERY USEFUL

  • OVER AND OUT!!!!

  • the move at 2:12 is definatly a good one or my favorite from the 1st or 2nd video is the hand on the chin stance.

  • I love the sound when he come in 2:13

  • Comment removed

  • The guy is at a full legs length when he side steps, it wouldn't be possible to trip him, moron.

    l2 use your eyes.

  • a white belt? is there again an arrogant bjj practioner that cannot believe that an expert says, ground fighting is not the real deal in a street fight?

  • some of the stuff here is useful but alot of crap many people will never use

  • this guys legit

  • doesnt matter just with a little bit of stregth and VERy good technique you can take ANOYONE down

  • hell yeah

  • Even Bas?

Hahaha. Obviously you can't take "anyone" down. Train to improve your chances, not to be invincible.

  • take him down, mount him, and *pop* finish him off.

  • kamasutra at 9:06^^

  • BAs shold have stuck with using a larger opponent than that. That guys way too skinny. Not everyone is going to be able to just pick a guy up and slam him when we get guillotined.

  • Well you could just punch them in the balls.. but that is pretty obvious and doesn't need to be spelled out for you :)

  • Thats what everyone says but I've been punched in the balls lots of times during boxing, wrestling and grappling. It really doesnt hurt that much unless you get hit right in a certain way. I rather just break someones nose or jaw.

  • Still, it's a pretty easy counter to a guillotine - you can basically rain punches there.

  • When both of ur hands are free its just up to u to use ur imagination.. Fighting is not math. ;) go with the flow.

  • wow thanks for that incredible bit of knowledge.I've been doing mma, boxing and martial arts for the last 10 years but that bit of advice you just offered is gold. Freakin moron.

  • Yeah, I can't picture picking up a FAT 300 lbs guy just like that. But then again he also shows other ways.

  • a good thing to do is squat down just like you're doing a squat at the gym, push all your weigt down and then slam the fukkers knee cap to the concrete.. Works everytime

  • @johnnyfromda805 Thats why you need to sign up for the gym.

  • keep in mind this information hy gives...

    is gold worth..

better.. more thne gold maybe your life! be aware

  • yea man a street fight can cost you your life

  • I love the little ali shuffle thing he does at 0:23

  • gota watch all parts :D

  • i think he did knee him in the back of the head

  • wow at 2:23 he did a spear

  • why dont u just escape amir??

  • at 9:16 thats a bad def which only applies if you're stronger than he but trust thats gonna break trough your defense.....palm striker the outside of his knee(when he knee's you)and go to the side....but if you want to do the same way as bas did than push your hands to his knee...but he will realize thats not working so he will switch to elbow you ont he neck.

  • Great, BUT stop the freaking slowmotiong parts..

  • does he HAVE to make his own sound affects xD

  • the stunt guy is a realy good actor lol

  • nudel's right. even explosive, intense 150lb guy>200lb guy with limited fighting technique. explosiveness wins fights

  • it looks damn good on movie but i've been in a several street fights and its not the same thing at all. but i admit when you know some techniques it easeyer to finish the fight and escape whith minor injuries. but you still need to keep your head cool and reamember what you have learn.

  • what about all those people that just come swinging punch after punch after punch. like a whirlwind of punches. u know kind of like thugs on tha street u know how they fight.

  • Yeah, lol. These moves are only shown when the sparring partner is standing still or moving slow, what can you do when someone runs to you like a mad man throwing 100000s of fast punches.

  • watch part 7 idiot... he shows you exactly what to do in that situation.

ive used several of these moves in street fights...
