Honestly, I don't think this game would've made a good follow up to the 7th Guest. Sure, the concept itself as a game seems great, but does Henry Stauf have good enough reason to be spending his time as a caretaker in this place? I mean, honestly, his Mansion seems so cenrtal to all he is known as. I don't think he can just leave it for some new place for hauntings.

Clandestiny i think was geared more towards children. plus in the credits it is mentioned that it's dedicated to them... i think 11th hour was good, but somewhat rushed in the making. 7th guest will always be my favorite, plus it has some pretty awesome song files. Fatman did great, and i love the Skeletons in my closet song.

I think this was the official 3rd sequel. You're thinking about 13th doll that takes place in an asylum. Can't wait for that game but I really wish that they would finish this one too...a shame. They don't make puzzle games like they used to.

Basically the same thing as the 7th guest: Stauf returned and basically is trying to trap the souls of children again and you have to go into the mansion AGAIN (but this time you are a different character).

Not quite... Stauf basically continued from where he'd left off (I think it was supposed to be as if he'd won the original). The house was feeding off of the souls that his "daughter" Maria was bringing it. You play as Carl, reporter for the show Case Unsolved who goes into the house to find his producer/lover, Robin Morales, who'd gone in to investigate and never came back out (she's actually mentioned in the first game's accompanying literature on the house)

I was working for Trilobyte when they shut down in 1998. I was an artist on their 3D titles X-War and Baja Racing. There was never a 7th Guest 3 in development besides a design doc maybe, and the main foyer built as a proof of concept using the unreal engine to create a first person 7th guest game.

It's a real shame that it was never released, because I'd love to play this game, even with T7G3 being made (the 13th doll)... the idea of a game where you play through various situations with stauf posing as the evil in each one: the pirates in a sailing minigame, the minotaurs in a dungeon crawling minigame... it's a really unique spin on the series. Really sad that it was never released. ;_;

Clandestiny put them in the ground. That game sucked. It was like the 11th hour engine but without any of the creepiness or any of the gorgeous flowing animation that was in the other two titles. The 7th guest and the 11th hour were masterpieces and were very fun games to play. sadly they Botched up their method.

Back when my family played the game it was really glitchy on the video sections, which actually made things far more eerie, not knowing exactly when thigns were going to finally pop out on the screne, and what not.

It's from the original 7th Guest soundtrack, which was amazing. It was included on one of the cd-roms from the original game.

That looks pretty awesome. Games like these need to be made more often - I've never found a game as great as the seventh guest... I think the closest is Trace Memory - but the puzzles are too easy. :(

Another great game with the real live actors was Under a killing moon, by Access. Also with video was Phantasmagora. I never had a chance to play it, but I heard that, that game was more of watching video than game.

No. This one was the sequel to 11th Hour, BUT it has been canceled. Now, some great fans are making their own sequel with permission of Rob Landeros: 13th Doll.
