Hi Nica do you have any advice for a full turn? I keep on doing the full turn then always leaning one way and falling. I'm not afraid of doing it, its just that I keep on doing something wrong with it. And do you have any advice for a straight jump, split jump because my split jump is really small and is not being counted. =[ hmmm.. please give me some advice!

Well...

I have some advice... In your full turn try putting your arms in a different place... because usually people put their arms in the wrong place or are trying to hard to pull it around. You just need to push of a hold the position tight.

And for your split jump just streach every day.

Yeah I had lefty in everything in gymnastics (even though I write a righty) but I had learned my back walkover righty. It's because if you think about it you would be using your most muscled leg (left) to kick with. So it makes sense you would do that righty. But it's not hard to switch, I had to switch it and did it within 2 days.

There are the Compulsary Levels (4,5,and 6) and the Optional Levels (7-10), then the Elite Level (Junior and Senior). It's never too late :) Bart Connor didn't start until he was 10 and he became World Champion and Olympic Gold medalist. I say go for it, even if you don't make team, you can do recreational gymnastics. The experience and life lessons from this sport will be valuable to you.

EVERYBODY stumbles on beam at least once during their performance. Nica's was sooo minor she probably got the tiniest deduction for it! She came right out of it and her legs were strait, body was tight and toes were pointed. Her beam routine was basically perfect and I wish she wasn't crying. GO NICA!

I had a big problem with the growth plate in my ankle/heel area. I was devastated. I won the level 6 nationals, though, so I'm just glad I got to get that far! Right now I play tennis.

Really, though, she's incredibly conscious of her body. I'm really impressed. Her scale and backwalkover were awesome!

DUUUUDE when i was lv6 toni would ALWAYS kill me on my full turns and dismount! im so glad they changed the routine so you dont have to stick in in place now. that step forward is a LIFE SAVER on the full turn!

what do you mean it's not a common one? the US National Team (Senior Elite) goes to Worlds every year. Nastia Liukin is 2-time world champion and 6-time world medalist. Shawn Johnson is this year's current worlds champion. olympics is not the only competition elite gymnasts go to.
