The song was written by Mac Davis. Goldsboro decided to record the song, but an executive with UA Records questioned the potential of releasing it as a single, stating that "I don't think anyone will buy a record from a father to a son." It reached the top of the Billboard Easy Listening chart on January 9, 1971, where it remained for six weeks. (MORE at Wikipedia)

Felix,iba talaga ang damdamin ng isang ama no?Kahit anong pagod at hirap mo sa trabaho kapag napatingin ka sa pictures ng anak mo natutulala ka at biglang mapapangiti,tanggal lahat ng hirap at sasabihin mo sa sarili mo na kailangan mo pang magsipag pa ng todo.Oo napatulala ako at napangiti naisip ko ang anak ko kasing edad rin ng anak mo.Wow!Pinasaya mo ko.
