@iDatAsianKid Haha, thanks...it's probably because the video's only been up for a week, and there's no actual VIDEO, and "World of Color on piano" isn't an especially popular search item. Tell all your friends! ;D
@JackMotionFilm I hope so! :) I can play at least a rough version of most of them already; it's just a matter of ironing out all the wrinkles and practicing them to the point where I'm comfortable sharing them with the world. I could record some of them now if I really needed to, but others need a lot more work, and none of them are as good as they will be by the time I really do record them.
@MrBAM1991 Workin' on it. ;) Next one'll be the "speaking whale" sequence from Finding Nemo, "The Pines of Rome", and "Define Dancing" from WALL-E. Hopefully it'll be ready to record within a few days...we'll just have to see how much of a perfectionist I end up being, hehe.
@bobrobert13 At least in World of Color, "Part of Your World" starts in F, modulates to Ab, and then returns to F. Then "Under the Sea" is in Bb till the jazzy portion, when it modules into Cm, then Dm. Hope this helps!
@castmemberzack You know, I actually feel the exact same way. Key signatures are the bane of my sheet-music-reading existence, and I prefer to notate without them - especially if I'd have to change it constantly, which is usually the case with the sort of music I play. Not so much the case with this particular segment of this particular show, but if and when I put together sheet music, I'll most likely avoid using any key signature. There will be accidentals, though.
@1taken Alas! Someone who agrees with me! Sure, they're convenient on saving ink and such, but there's nothing more confusing than a complicated key signature with accidentals still in the writing. Except for maybe, like, stuff that is more... complicated... than that. Ahem. Anyway, I'd rather have all accidentals.
@JordiekinsxxReal Well, I can understand why they're useful for people whose brains are better at switching into whatever key signature they're dealing with. But I'm not one of 'em. =P You may be pleased to know, by the way, that a lot of film scores and whatnot are notated without key signatures. I think it's mostly because they rarely stay in one key signature for long, and sometimes the tonal center isn't even clear at all.
@castmemberzack I don't know how good that keyboard is by professional standards, but it's certainly better than the old Yamaha DGX-202 I've got! :P It's only got 76 non-weighted keys, and it's probably missing other features that yours has, too.
@1taken Well i have to tell u.. either go to a store and get one when u have the $ and ask for the floor model. It comes cheaper.. or ebay (but like 200$ to ship). But hey u have something to play on. 76 is a weird # for a keyboard... lol..
@castmemberzack Maybe someday...for now, though, my cheap old keyboard is enough. A bigger priority (and MUCH bigger investment) is to get a real piano, a nice grand. Might have to keep saving for another decade or two...
@1taken There getting much cheaper... the gb1 is 8 grand i believe. My old one use to be like 13,000... so yah... But thats yamaha. I would go for sound and keys then name and money. And why not become a youtube partner? It makes money ill tell u that.
@castmemberzack Yeah, if I can find a sturdy piano that plays wonderfully for a low price and an unfamiliar name, I'll take it! :D As for the partner thing, my videos are pretty much all based on other people's work (e.g. arrangements of other people's compositions), so I can't really make a profit off of them without permission from the copyright holders.
@1taken Hey if not a REAL piano.. as in grand.. get a wall... walls aren't bad. Not like a grand.. but they make wall pianos that sound great... trust me i would rather have a hammer hitting a string for a piano to. :) I have a keyboard though.
@castmemberzack Do you mean an upright piano? That's definitely better than a keyboard, but every cent that I spend on an upright would be another cent I can't spend on a grand later. ;) So we'll see what happens. I might be able to get a crappy upright for a low price, at least...
@1taken Real nice ones on Ebay.. :).. ive been looking for u... :)... if i find a cheap one at Sam Ash (music store) i n L.A i will tell u. But here is one for cheaper than u will ever get a grand.. dang.. it wont let me do links... check ur pms
@liteblb7 Thanks...I'm looking forward to working on that one, too! It's one of my favorite segments from the show. Which is perhaps strange, since I've only seen the film, like, once...and it's been ages...
@mebesamremicks In ascending order: Bb D F A. That's a Bb major 7 chord. :)

Can you try to make the sheet music with out anything in the key signiture?.. i hate those sharps they get me everytime.

@1taken im ok with accidentals but key signitures are a headbang aginst my keyboard. I use a yahmaha YPG-635... Is it a good keyboard in ur eye?
