As for this list...Dear oh dear. La Mlotta isn't even a top 10 Middleweight of all time, and is a million miles away from being a top 10 pound for pound boxer. Roy Jones Jr has no business making a top 10, and Ray Leonard is borderline. Foreman? Frazier? TYSON!? He wouldn't make a top 100 for God's sake. There was boxing before the seventies, you know - and there's more divisions than Heavyweight, which is actually one of the poorer of the original 8 weight classes. Marciano at number 2? Jesus..

Foreman is a top 10 Heavyweight, sure, but a top 10 pound for pound fighter? There are at least 50 (almost certainly more) who beat much, much better competition than him. Tyson doesn't even crack my top 10 Heavyweights, so in my opinion he has no business making a pound for pound list either. Heavyweights get grossly overrated in these lists.

Marciano's best wins were against old men and Light-Heavyweights. He was great, don't get me wrong, but at Heavyweight alone there are eight men I'd have ahead of him. Marciano's era just wasn't that great. Not his fault, but a fact. Pound for pound, he's nowhere near a top 70, never mind a top 10.

@TonySarlo, I disagree about each generation being "bigger and badder." The fat oafs of the Heavyweight division today (Solis, Fury, Peter, Briggs etc) should be proof of that. Boxing has been around since 3BC so 50 years isn't going to make a dramatic difference, and the bulk of boxing training today is the same as it was over 100 years ago. Vitali isn't fit to carry Marciano's jock strap. I think Marciano would put Wladimir to sleep, too. Marciano was great in any era.
