  • i <3 dilaudid. pretty sure i always will.. but its only pot for me these days. fuck me does bob explain it pretty well..

  • BLUES ARE NOT DILUADID! I have no idea why everyone on here thinks this, he says BLUES and DILUADID. Blues were a nickname for numorphin (sp?), aka oxymorphone. They were taken off the market back in the day and were only recently introduced as opana. Opana is hands down THE BEST pharm. opiate. Like diluadid they have a killer rush, but they actual have a long lasting high (which dillies lack). You can also get high from opana without IV'ing unlike dillies (but IV is king)

  • as an Opiate addict for more than 13yrs i agree with this... I've done all the Rx opiates Opana IR which is the new "blues", Dilaudid, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, etc... they are ALL to varying degrees just as Bob describes... They give life a rosy hue of unlimited success! THEN, you come down and have to score more and more every fucking day just to feel "Normal" ack! I don't recommend the life of an Opiate dopefiend to ANYONE! Its taken away women, money, a career, etc... Just remember i told u :)

  • 1:36 His breath fogs up the window, Beautiful!!

  • Demerol?! SHIT!!

  • @PoletBally

    demerol suckssss

  • God, this is so true. Can't wait for the next hit, but forget all about the pain and inconvenience once you get it.

  • Possibly the greatest scene ever filmed.

  • I used to live a bit like that..even had a wife like Diane. She was a real heavy user.

  • I wish you would put the part where he's talking about "all those colored bottles of pills just waiting for me" where the cops rush in and "put a little love in your heart plays" I love that and the isreallites song where they go crossroading

  • This scene is absolutely nails it. Best Junkie Movie ever.

  • opiates are the only drug that im addicted on, even when im not on opiates, the hunger never leaves... never... after u become addicted to get in it again takes 1 time, but the first time takes 3 or more months no other drug is like this

  • matt dillon's face 1: 29. amazing actor

  • Now it's YouTube Babies, Bob.

  • The the guy is banging dope behind a pop up commercial. Is nothing sacred?

  • does he say blues?

  • yeah, he said blues,,, it´s the color of morphine sulphate tablets where I live, but it could´ve been other stuff back then...

  • Yeah, he meant blue diluadid tablets.

  • soft lofty appeal - you tell 'em BOB

  • this is a great discription...

i always had to fix wherever i was too...

    brilliant.

  • yeah, espiecaly when starts talking 'you know the ants in the grass were just doing there things'

This clip is like Lou Reeds Heroin, hard to watch or listen to when you quit eh.

'a wound that will never heal'

  • omg!

    exactly. well spoken.

  • 'a wound that will never heal' is a line from Waltzing Matilda/Tom Trauberts Blues (matilda was slang for smack in Nam)

Anyway i'm so far away from it its like a different lifetime.

Although if somebody gets something 'medical' or the odd 'special' .................

  • now why did you have to go spoil it for me...

    Irish...

    Just kidding...thanks for the correction...

  • This was Dillan at his best...he's best as a dark prince...the movie 'flamingo kid' about killed his career...he needs more roles that allow him to be the dark haired italian rebel he is...

  • Both Dillon's parent's were 2nd generation Irish-American dude. He's Irish not Italian.

  • quite a good film, it has james remour in it, its quite rare to see him in films.

  • He articulated it so well.Man, pharmaceuticals..morphine and dilaudid;the best.

  • I think thats fantastic poetry...

  • I take it you had some friend or relative that fit this discript? I agree that drugs=bad. But it might be cool to have a little compassion. You may surprise yourself with your own actions one day, man. Peace

  • Hey, man - I'll hold the vomit bucket for anybody who wants to break free from the horrors of drug addiction. I don't hate them. I feel sorry for them. That's exactly why I DO hate people like William Shit Burroughs, who actually encourages people to use.

There's a big difference between a dude who needs help with a problem and another dude who needs to be thrown in prison like Burroughs.

  • I read "Junky," and I don't recall reading anything downplaying the seriousness of addiction.

I don't think it would cause anyone to use who wasn't already seriously leaning in that direction.

  • You mistake heroin addicts with alcoholics.

  • lol

  • dreams of spoons are fucked up.. sucks waking up broke after that too

  • Your worst enemy wasn´t so bad! The ants in the grass were just, you know, doing their thing!.....You could do no wrong! And as long as it lasted, life was beautiful!...Guess that´s why he detoxes in the end and takes shit from the T.V. kids! And I think to myself..What a wonderful woorld!! I see skies of blue..rainbows too..

  • can somebody upload the whole movie i can't find it

  • man, this reminds me of how much ide rather be doing pharmecutical grade drugs instead of nasty tar heroin.

  • I think most people would prefer pharmaceuticals, but not everyone has a choice :/

  • ...the ants in the grass...y'know...were just doing their thing...

  • Seems like a good a movie , thank you for uploading this clip , Matt Dillion always bad a convincing bad boy.

  • Matt Dillon and Kelly Lynch snaggin' legal pharmies. That's fuckin dope!!! No pun intended, lol

  • I need a shot now!

  • yeah, i need a shot too... a 4mg Dilaudid sounds nice right about now

  • It does make the world seem like a much nicer place.....you know they make 8's now...maybe santa will tighten me up....happy holidays

  • whats the deal wit dilaudid? i gues u have to iv or sniff it cause i popped 6 of the 8mg and felt hardly anything. not that i condone drug use but ive been curious to know the deal ever since.

  • iv is the only way it has any massive high/rush.

Otherwise swallowing it is what is intended for chronic pain patients w/ breakthrough pain. Personally I tried the Diluadid for that and it didn't work very well at all for me.

  • you have to bang dilaudid. or 'dillies' which is what we call them.

i just got out of rehab, and immediately i fund your comment.

i happen to love dillies and all opiates, really. that's why i am the toobadgrrrl.

its practically impossible to get over the addiction.

i lost count of how many times i have been in rehab, and i always end up going back to the opiates. i lasted almiost a year once, but that was the longest.

whatever you do, don't ever bang drugs and stay away from opiates!

  • oops! "found" not fund.

  • Or a 10 MG Morphine drip every 10 secs!! I miss that button in the hospital. Hell I might even fuck up my other leg for that!!!! Drugs!!! Yeah

  • Ace film!

"I was once a shameless, full time dopefiend. Yeah, me Bob the sweet mother son"

  • if you cant handle the withdrawls then dont mess with it chvipergts. its all one and the same anyway

  • I never knew what he was talking about till I did opiates. Now I know that feeling. Its all fun and great until you go through WDs.

  • One of my favorite movies of all time. This movie really means alot to me

  • this movie looks interesting

  • to quote bob,.. who put the hat on the bed???

  • opiate dreams... ha... the peace... one of the best drug movies ever...

  • Drugstore Cowboy

    (1989)

  • that does describe drug use perfectly

  • It was a trip seeing William Burroughs in this movie.

  • Thanks inertlife for posting this clip, Bob described it so beautifully and so vividly, and he did it so gracefully. For those of us who know this description is 'right on the money'. check my vid "Sleep Dancing".

  • this film is fuckin ace and matt dillon is gorgeous in it!xx top film
