Living in Titusville was like being in a bad marriage - after being in it for a while, you start to go numb. It's embarrassing to see so many vacant commercial sites. In one place, they've razed a mall/shopping center, and just left this huge slab of asphalt. City officials are either incompetent or have received graft over 30 years and so businesses go further south to Merritt Island and surrounding areas. It's pathetic.
I used to live in Titusville. I miss it. Author D'Maria Scaglione has a book out called Nevaeh and Natas-A Spiritual Fantasy that is place in Titusville and Mims and is on amazon. I hope that Tituville grows more-a new mall and some other things to do. I may move back some day.

Loved the video. It's spot on, and that's why I moved away. The only issue I have is with Dave's at the mall. You probably don't know this but "Dave" started working at that little stand when it was an Orange Julius back in the late 70's. He scratched out a living and eventually saved enough money to buy it. Now he's all that's left. I feel bad for the guy. It's sad to see someone achieve a modest dream only to have it taken away.

titusville is not that bad, it is boring as hell BUT, is very nice and quiet and you can always hit daytona, merrit island, cocoa beach or even orlando which are close to it to have some fun, i remmember this mall, is crappy as hell BUT they do got a nice pizzeria inside of it still, one of the best pizzas ive ever tasted :)
I lived in Titusville for 5 years. Too many loud motorcycles and the river smells terrible. It is a sad and depressing place. Moved back to Burlington, Vermont-an incredibly vibrant and lively place. However, it can get kind of chilly here. It is also somewhat difficult to find a Mcdonalds...
I agree. I'm 44 and it's depressing. Even the fashions in the stores are old and out dated. I lived in Palm Bay for 10 years and the stores are great. I always travel to Viera,Melbourne, Palm Bay or Orlando to shop...sad.
I saw one of kids whining in Ottawa, IL. Two differences, 1) Ottawa is a really nice town. 2) Their video is really well done compared to yours, believe me your video sucks much worse than any town.

As a Titusville resident, I'm surprised that you didn't depict more of the town's failures - lack of real sit-down restaurant variety, multiple closed storefronts, lack of nightlife, lack of family-friendly activities, etc. The town seems to continually suppress real (and economically helpful!) growth, while not even taking good care of what IS here, like Miracle City Mall, blowing countless opportunities to re-develop abandoned buildings by luring businesses here. How about "Vapidville"?

titusville is not that bad, it is boring as hell BUT, is very nice and quiet and you can always hit daytona, merrit island, cocoa beach or even orlando which are close to it to have some fun, i remmember this mall, is crappy as hell BUT they do got a nice pizzeria inside of it still, one of the best pizzas ive ever tasted :)

I lived in Titusville for 5 years. Too many loud motorcycles and the river smells terrible. It is a sad and depressing place. Moved back to Burlington, Vermont-an incredibly vibrant and lively place. However, it can get kind of chilly here. It is also somewhat difficult to find a Mcdonalds...

I agree. I'm 44 and it's depressing. Even the fashions in the stores are old and out dated. I lived in Palm Bay for 10 years and the stores are great. I always travel to Viera,Melbourne, Palm Bay or Orlando to shop...sad.

I saw one of kids whining in Ottawa, IL. Two differences, 1) Ottawa is a really nice town. 2) Their video is really well done compared to yours, believe me your video sucks much worse than any town.

@cheetahbm America has no true language. And if you think about it South America is still America. They speak Spanish etc. Canada is in North America and they speak french in some parts. This is just too funny! I had no idea what Titusville was going through... I was born there and lived there till I was 16. Its amazing that some of my best childhood memories are from there... Or was it Orlando? New Symerna? Oops! All the same thank you for summing it up and you know even 10 years ago there was no Searstown Mall... So as for getting it cleaned up??? I doubt it seriously...

NASA brought me here from south Florida and if I had known how unstable the KSC atmosphere was before and NOW, I would have never uprooted. Now I need a job and I'm stuck with a house in Titusville that I can't sell, rent or move from...I'm stuck here...and there's no jobs! If only I knew! But no one warned me...I should have moved to east Orange county which was my 1st instinct....Should have followed it. Good video!! Maybe it will help to generate JOBS! :)

And you are correct, very few people who actually work for NASA (the remaining 12% of the employees who do not work for the union-dominated contractors) voted for Obama. As a Titusville resident, I'm surprised that you didn't depict more of the town's failures - lack of real sit-down restaurant variety, multiple closed storefronts, lack of nightlife, lack of family-friendly activities, etc. The town seems to continually suppress real (and economically helpful!) growth, while not even taking good care of what IS here, like Miracle City Mall, blowing countless opportunities to re-develop abandoned buildings by luring businesses here. How about "Vapidville"?

This is crap, there are at-least three stores between our 2 malls and would take over half an hour to go to all three! Hard to believe there are 5 Mcdonalds with-in five miles..... That's a bridge..
