This video review is far from the truth. When I put up my video of this garbage ass gameplay it'll eat this alive. They made ZERO improvements to the game mechanics, matter of fact they are worse. You people need to be more honest about what you're supporting with these Companies. To hell with intros, and jumping grass. The core game mechanics is horrible!
They really need to work on the roster. Marquis Maze (#4 for Alabama) doesn't have dreads, and he definitely isn't 94 speed. Looking at FSU's roster it's an absolute atrocity what they've done. I'll have to spend 2-3 hours just to make our roster realistic.
I also hope they do away with the"live tuning package", they pretty much took a very good well balanced game out of the box and made it an unplayable turd for about 3 months last year and never did manage to get it back to normal.
Same broken pass defense as every other year. AI still exploits the CPU players inability to man cover to gain yards. AI converts on 3rd and long way too often.The blocking is way better though and I do enjoy the running and tackling more this year.
This game has been quite fun to play so far! It's amazing what can happen when a company listens to its consumers. Let's hope the other game modes are just as fresh and fun to play as this demo was to me!

looks the same as the rest, the way you move with the ball is just so ugly. its why i never liked any of the EA sports games, they have no clue what they are doing when it comes to moving motion anims, its just one speed, no hip movements, you just bounce off people like a pinball. 2k actually gets it, EA just makes minor tweaks each year when its the exact same crap

Yeah the demo was great, but what im saying is this game was the closest relation ive seen to 2k football, since 2K5.
I mean sure I might see the same animations over and over, but how many times would you see alot of the same animations in 2K5. Of coarse no game is perfect though. This game just gives me the feeling like it is the one ive been waiting for.

yeah backbreaker is an incredible game, still got some work to do though. I play that whenever i get the chance to, but im just a bigger fan of college and NFL football rather then having fantasy teams. Sure you can get the nfl rosters for backbreaker, but ive been playing madden almost every year since 2001, got into 2K5 and never really played madden for a while. This years game might be the one ive been waiting for since 2K5/Madden 04.
The more i play the ncaa12 demo the more i start to notice all the old glitchs from before. Just as the corners and linebackers did the past 2 or 3 years in madden for some reason they are still getting interceptions off of over the head no look catches. I mean yeah they did remove plenty of the glitchy sliding, but almost everything else is still there. I suggest that everyone play the demo a little bit more before they run to get the game as soon as it comes out...
The only problem i've had with the demo is that everytime the cpu calls a run play both of my defensive tackles just get dominated and fall over, allowing the running back to get 6-8 yards before anyone else realizes what happened. And this is everytime they run the football. I could understand it every once in awhile but not every single time a running play is called.
looks like another good improvement @ 11:37 is cornerbacks appear to break on the ball with realistic timing, ncaa 11 that probably woulda been a pick 6 cause corners wuda auto sprinted and had broke on the WR's route instantly after the ball was thrown.
@TheWasted12 your right they are, i just meant in the past they wud break what seemed way to early to be realistic. of course it should be based on ratings but i didn't mean corners shouldn't be breaking on WRs routes at all. :/
I realize that they don't use names. I'm referring to not giving a kicker a helmet that would typically belong to a lineman. Noticed that alot last year. The names dont bother me. I just get online and make the names according to the teams roster for whichever teams I use. Simple enough.
This game is really playing well, a bit of an improvement from '11, but we know more can be done. But what I really like about '12 way better than '11 is that the CPU plays alive as in they play like another human almost. In '11 I could score twice and it was just turn into a blowout win for me everytime, but in the '12 demo, I had a thrilling 13-10 win w/ FSU over Bama with 1 drive, ending w/ a TD.
everyone is still going to hate on this game no matter what but it is still improved there is hardly any suction and tbh the blocking isn't always pro ive been playing and have had defenders just simply out power my oline or just to many blitzers for them to pick up so i think the new blocking works but not so well as you can easily win which imo is good game overall is great and this is only a demo cant wait for entire game :)

@versuz2 good mechanics so far. One thing I CANNOT stand is this...Bama's QB has a RB facemask. I hate how its almost randomly generated for alot of the players.
@21Kingy They can't make it exactly like the players since they are NCAA athletes and using there likenesses are illegal, hence why the players are named things like QB #16 and HB #21 instead of Denard Robinson and LaMichael James, etc.
@misleadupshrink i don't see how that's possible. you lead pass with the left. so you have to manipulate two sticks and hit a button to throw a pass? that doesn't seem logical. and it's not in the manual so i think it's a placebo effect.
oh just some advice if you want to kick well under this system use the tiger woods method. grip the stick with your thumb and forfinger like a small arcade stick. calmly move it back and forth NO FLICKING all thats left is timing then its a piece of cake. not sure if you do that already but will save alot of agony from a 2 point loss lol later
my impressions are good as well, the passing attack is much harder ints are quite common for me and comp, so i feel safer running which is realstic. but notice alot of 10 yd + runs wen i play, maybe too easy? i also got a 56 yd field goal against me hmmm. hit sticks dont really seem to punish o guys just stop them quickly. THE CHANGE OF DIRECTION LIKE A PINBALL is why running is so successful along with o line improvments so its a double advantage to pound it all game.
havent yall noticed they dont let us get a jump ball even if we're in perfect position to get it? the ball is in the air, i press y and he doesnt do anything except stand there while the receiver gets the ball -_- hate when that happens
The missed field goal makes me mad. It reminds me of NCAA 11 where you'll be on hard mode and the other team will go up for a field goal and just straight out miss it. Wtf
I've seen it happen three times in NCAA 11. Hopefully that was a rare occurrence.

It's not as simple as buy or don't buy cause ppl keep praising and advertising this game which in the end is not gonna make them change the game for the better next year. Mad problems in the Demo and thats what needs to be addressed. Pointing out the good = Nothing. No one of us benefits in any way from EA's game selling. Pointing out the bad before ppl start buying = pushed release date and bug fixes and ultimately a better game. If you like it, like it. But keep ya mouth shut so they improve.
NCAA11 with Versuz sliders + New Graphics = NCAA12. I have had a defender on Heisman completely ignore me run for a TD. And on All American a DB ran from me while I had the ball. WR keep getting Balls to the face. When offense fumbles they never know where the ball is even if it was you who pitched it the cpu holds you from turning to go get it

the only thing that i dont like is the game is almost unplayable on heisman. somebody stated that the game is against your favor when on that difficulty but i put it on all american the 2nd highest and got the best gameplay. What all sports games should do is have a simulation slider for the people who like that style of gameplay and have the AI be dictated by which one you chose. so an advanced sim play would chose heisman. but keep the game the same for the casual gamer. problem solved.

Some things i've noticed while playing: PA plays seem to be improved because defenders are genuinely confused by who has the ball (in the right situation). I actually have blockers when i'm returning a kickoff. You can sack the QB without nano blitzing AND the blocking seems to be improved (lineman play seems fair on both sides of the ball). Suction has been reduced a LOT. There don't seem to be very many tackle animations. Tumbleweed is still present in a lot of tackles.

Its a suggestions page for the demo there gonna release a tuner before the game releases. I was reading through and someone suggested that returns where to easy to return it kinda made me mad cuz they might tone down the blocking for returns now

at 11:00 min the MLB jumps his routes. I know its a demo...but the game should seem new and improved fresh out the gate. I'm not one to bash the game, I take it for what it is, but I can already see people complaining about the same stuff again this year.
I play madden 11 a lot then when I played this demo I was blown away. It feels way different and it's awesome. Now time to wait for the madden 12 demo to come out :)

@versuz2 good mechanics so far. One thing I CANNOT stand is this...Bama's QB has a RB facemask. I hate how its almost randomly generated for alot of the players.

@21Kingy They can't make it exactly like the players since they are NCAA athletes and using there likenesses are illegal, hence why the players are named things like QB #16 and HB #21 instead of Denard Robinson and LaMichael James, etc.

@misleadupshrink i don't see how that's possible. you lead pass with the left. so you have to manipulate two sticks and hit a button to throw a pass? that doesn't seem logical. and it's not in the manual so i think it's a placebo effect.

oh just some advice if you want to kick well under this system use the tiger woods method. grip the stick with your thumb and forfinger like a small arcade stick. calmly move it back and forth NO FLICKING all thats left is timing then its a piece of cake. not sure if you do that already but will save alot of agony from a 2 point loss lol later

my impressions are good as well, the passing attack is much harder ints are quite common for me and comp, so i feel safer running which is realstic. but notice alot of 10 yd + runs wen i play, maybe too easy? i also got a 56 yd field goal against me hmmm. hit sticks dont really seem to punish o guys just stop them quickly. THE CHANGE OF DIRECTION LIKE A PINBALL is why running is so successful along with o line improvments so its a double advantage to pound it all game.

The missed field goal makes me mad. It reminds me of NCAA 11 where you'll be on hard mode and the other team will go up for a field goal and just straight out miss it. Wtf
I've seen it happen three times in NCAA 11. Hopefully that was a rare occurrence.

@LjRoc23 Yea I fought the fight that u are fighting since madden/NCAA 10. This year the Devs fixed all the probs that I saw were wrong with the gameplay. Then I later played the demo and saw for myself it was fixed. Thats why I stopped all the bitching and moaning. I give respect when it is due. they finally got my respect, and in turn, earned my $62 for this year.

@LjRoc23 I give it to u real too. It wasnt just suction tackling, but that was a big problem along with consecutive hits and man and zone coverage lacking. Oh and A.I. logic was fixed on blocking and the QB reactions also.

It's not as simple as buy or don't buy cause ppl keep praising and advertising this game which in the end is not gonna make them change the game for the better next year. Mad problems in the Demo and thats what needs to be addressed. Pointing out the good = Nothing. No one of us benefits in any way from EA's game selling. Pointing out the bad before ppl start buying = pushed release date and bug fixes and ultimately a better game. If you like it, like it. But keep ya mouth shut so they improve.

NCAA11 with Versuz sliders + New Graphics = NCAA12. I have had a defender on Heisman completely ignore me run for a TD. And on All American a DB ran from me while I had the ball. WR keep getting Balls to the face. When offense fumbles they never know where the ball is even if it was you who pitched it the cpu holds you from turning to go get it

the only thing that i dont like is the game is almost unplayable on heisman. somebody stated that the game is against your favor when on that difficulty but i put it on all american the 2nd highest and got the best gameplay. What all sports games should do is have a simulation slider for the people who like that style of gameplay and have the AI be dictated by which one you chose. so an advanced sim play would chose heisman. but keep the game the same for the casual gamer. problem solved.

Some things i've noticed while playing: PA plays seem to be improved because defenders are genuinely confused by who has the ball (in the right situation). I actually have blockers when i'm returning a kickoff. You can sack the QB without nano blitzing AND the blocking seems to be improved (lineman play seems fair on both sides of the ball). Suction has been reduced a LOT. There don't seem to be very many tackle animations. Tumbleweed is still present in a lot of tackles.
