  • I like how people say just stop eatin you have to be in a persons shoes to be able to say that there fore shut that down ok when you have depression issues and eat because of depression you can't say that my mom got the surgery and she is fine she's diabetic and her health got so much better so I will be gettin. This surgery ...

  • There is a better way.

  • thts the painful and expensive wayy or lets call it "the hard way"... the "easy" way is simple.... JUST WORK OUT GOD!!

  • dont do it..

  • all this are so much helpful for people who are not able to excersise and critically need to put down weight ! but its very sad that young people are going for this... this is specifically mentioned for the people for bmi above 40 ! and the hospitals and doctors bent upon making money are ignoring all this !!!

  • @Sinbad yeah.. i still dont believe that its a good idea to have a weighloss surgery.. I suggest you try weigh loss program like WeightLossAction.Info.. they have the best diet programs that i ever tried...

  • whos the pioneer of this procedure?

  • I been looking into this for a while an although I understand what some people say about about just stop eating or do more exercise, sometime it can just a be a medical issue, like, I have alway been in shape but after hurting my lower back in iraq just walking hurt and since i cant run or go to the gym my weigh has exploded going from 200lbs to 320lbs in a year, and the weigh on my back makes it worst i have lost about 30lbs right now i'm 290lbs but i been starving myself

  • I don't understand the need to be sliced open like this. Just STOP EATING! How hard can it be. Just don't eat. I don't get people.

  • not for nothing, but this is type scary!

  • it's a good way for me to lose weight, i had lapband surgery in southcoastlapband ,it's really work.

  • your poop will change dramatically

  • Good information. I found it helpful and useful. Thanks

  • Hello, hello, give me more of that.

  • Worth the weight

  • you guys are insane doing this to people yuk!!!!!

  • @450blouin well ... I must be insane because I had the gastric bypass operation on Dec. 20th. I did because of my health.

  • @buddmar so how was it. and how much did it cost u. and how u feel, do u feel like there is some thing in side u which is un usually or is it a normaling feeling ????

  • @dexter1 Two months have passed and I have lost 47 pounds; I have 25 more pounds to go to reach my goal. Here are the results so far: my endocrinologist, at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, has declared my diabetes has gone into remission, and I am off diabetes meds like Metformin and Glipizide; my blood pressure is normal; my neck measurement has gone from 18.5 down to 17; my waist from 40 down to 36. I feel better, & have more energy.

  • Question - on the procedures that bypass the lower stomach - what separates the stomach from the intestine? That is, what replaces the function of the pyloric valve?

  • Hmmm... the most effective weight loss surgery for morbidly obese patients was left out. You really should include the Duodenal Switch (restrictive & malabsorbtive). It has a much higher long-term excess weight loss percentage than any other procedure. If you are considering the RNY, don't go ahead with it until you have fully educated yourself about the lesser-known Duodenal Switch. You can visit dsfacts.com to fully research this incredible life-saving surgery.

  • wow i had to clue it was like this- im not obese by the way- but i thought the surgery was like cutting parts of your body that had fat in it off

  • Weight reduction surgery can be very helpful for morbidly obese patients. Good luck to all who are contemplating weight reduction surgery!

  • And let this be a warning to whoever can still do something about it.

If you can do something about it, don't let it get this far! You only have one body!

  • Very interesting depiction of the various types of bariatric surgery. I love these educational 3D medical animations!

  • This surgery is so much in the public consciousness that myths and misunderstandings are everywhere. It's so important that patients and their families understand the different procedures. This animation is clear, beautiful, and informative! Thank you, Nucleus.

  • VERY WELL DONE!

I can't wait to pass this one on... I am so glad I subscribed to this channel!! :)

    (from a lap-band recipient!~)

    :)

  • The bariatric surgery 3D medical animation is fascinating. Very informative.

  • OMG i never thought was like that. i was thinking of doing that now i am not i better do it my selft as a diet or jogging!

  • Very informative, but luckly this procedure is common practice now so anyone considering this surgery it is safe but 90% of the time PERMINATE, you can not reverse this surgery

  • I always am anti-surgery for weight loss efforts. I wish that people could just start becoming healthier individuals instead of just thinking about weight loss. Anyways, if you're reading this and considering surgery, what percentage of willpower have you given restricting your diet in the past? If not 100%, then this surgery isn't for you! You should give it your all before considering something as serious as surgery! Good luck and GET HEALTHY AMERICA!!!

  • While what you said is true, some people are physically incapable of losing weight despite their best efforts. This is their alternative. I do agree with you though, surgery is a serious thing not to be taken lightly. Natural methods of exercise and diet before major surgery.

  • Absolutely, if metabolically one has a problem, such as a dysfunctional thyroid, then I have no problem with these surgeries. I just stressed my points because my sister was looking at these procedures as a free ticket for "loosing weight," which angered me! The reason why is because I am fighting my weight as well, but have chosen a healthier lifestyle and not an invasive surgery.

  • @TheExPlOiTeDOne619 Your so right too. You can still ENJOY LOSING WEIGHT EFFORTLESSLY using a FAR INFRARED SAUNA just by lying on your back doing NOTHING and LOSE SEVEN POUNDS in a FEW WEEKS. Check out my video for more
