@thegm86 you're a major douche on this comment board with comments like that. I have good friends from America myself and unlike you, I don't judge an entire country by a few bad groups. Side note, this game is better on sega master system.
cause you dont know if theirs a few nice people there. thats like saying Oh the japanese are very stupid. You dont know if they could hear you say that and diss you in japanese
So what I actually did, was at a certain point, I just put on infinite health and did something else for awhile. Eventually the buildings get dynamited and the level moves on. I checked it again and sure enough, same result. So you can try beating it if you want to, but the point there is just to beat it (or have a score), since there is no ending or reward for doing it. At least the NES HAD an ending, even if it sucked. Led me to speculate if perhaps there are only 128 unique levels.
768 levels in the arcade? Sorry, but unless you're cheating or found some exploit in the game, that's going to just take you a big bag of quarters to beat, period!
The NES's 128 or so levels could be beaten, but the arcades just go on and on... I think I got around 200 or 300 (it's been years, so sue me) and then just tried using cheats. When you get to day 768, you know what happens? Next day, DAY 1. There's no ending, it just resets (with your score)! The game is endless.... no kill screen.
Could be worse... the Arcade version had NO ENDING. After day 768 you just started back on day 1 again (though overall, the Arcade still rules all home ports).
I totally beat this a loooong time ago. Ah, the NES is a good thing to have in one's childhood.
The funny thing is that I'm 14 now.
