That's A Good Idea, But I Think A Smarter Thing To Do Is, Instead Of Having a dedicated host for Each Game, They Should just use a dedicated server.. This Method Is Much More Efficient, A PC Gamers Use this method, The Only Downside to this is that It Would Be Slightly Simpler top Mod The Game.

I think your first idea with a backup host is a great idea, they should just make sure that the host and backup host aren't in a party together, a lot of time whole parties will back out of matches midway through.

Dedicated servers suck FYI, people make so many tac crouch servers and strict rules and it's so fucking hard to find a good server. That's why mw2 is the best on pc, NO DEDICATED!
