to littlelamb23 - the university of utah singers has got too many members and the voice quality is not that powerful. MADZ (as philippine madrigals singers are fondly called) still rules!!! =)

MADZ .. . no . .. i think the ONLY country with GREAT singers is Phillipines. . eventhough it doenst look like a country (so many islands) it is the BEST . . . singing with SOOO much power, so much energy . . . lively and comitment

@dipulos Nah, madrigal means a part-song for several voices, especially one of the Renaissance period, typically arranged in elaborate counterpoint and without instrumental accompaniment.

It adds a level of difficulty. It is easier to sing standing rather than sitting. This shows that Filos can do anything when it comes to singing.

Gladys ba ang name niya? I was able to shake her hand after their concert at St. Joseph's Parish in Lincoln, CA. She is really pretty and has the most amazing smile. Thank you Madz for visiting. I hope you'll visit Roseville, CA soon.

i beg to disagree uberathlete there are some lesser known choirs who does the madrigal style of singing. The troubadours of university of san agustin from iloilo city, philippines does it from time to time. though not in the same level as the madz (then again which choir can say they are at par) but they are up there among the best choirs from the Philippines.
