I'm a huge advocate of taking lunch breaks away from the desk. Phone calls and emails come in, if you're there you feel obligated to address them immediately.
Burn-out can definitely apply to lots of things besides a job or even a community volunteer position. People burn-out caring for relatives with Alzheimers, other people with disabilities, with their own kids (sad, but let's admit it happens), etc. I liked this video a lot, and it's no surprise Jono focuses on work contributions because it fits his goal of community building. But the problem can go a lot farther.
@Swatinem it could well be burnout; burnout doesn't just apply to work. If you are having some problems with depression, I recommend you maybe see a doctor or counsellor for a better opinion than me. :-)

Glad I'm so social but recognised a few stages. I find regular holidays help and just going out with friends.
Thanks for sharing Jono, I think it is relevant to a lot of industries.
Says the guy in London at 1.30am looking forward to his holiday next week : )

Interesting video.
How do these things relate to life itself? I mean not to work, as I’m currently unemployed (waiting for a new university semester to start).
I am feeling worthless and empty, I lack confidence, therefore I am not starting any projects of my own.
I can’t think of doing this for the rest of my life.
Or maybe its just a common depression, I constantly have problems with that.
