  • mother of god, this is amazing

  • Good video!

For the critics of sampling: imagine a guy saying "I play piano very well, "Imagine" is so easy, anybody could be John Lennon" what do you think about that guy? I think the same about you

  • thats so fucking cool bro!! thank you for this awesome tutorial

  • Wow. This is really neat. Great job :D

  • I never got the chance to thank you everyone for watching, sharing and commenting this video. Now it's more than 2 years old and honestly I realize there's plenty of errors (first of all the "beat" warp mode - horrible!). However I'm really glad to see it also helped creating an interesting discussion about Daft Punk sampling style (which has nothing, nothing to do with the way hip hop producers sample from the old school songs). Thanks once again and keep spreading the word ;)

  • what did you do when you warped it on the bottom right thing over there idk wut that does...

  • My face just fell off

  • @SUPERSWEETLOU You have a good point, but I believe, that instead of blaming Daft Punk for "stealing" their music, people just want to prove, that they're DJs, not actual artists.

But then again, who knows, maybe they're just butthurt because they didn't realise that you could profit from recycling music.

  • ma sei italiano?

  • i don't understand what you did at 1:12, at the bottom with the warp markers. can you explain it?

  • @holzy4565 I moved the marker at the start of the beat, in order to include the kick drum on the sample

  • OMG awesome

  • i want the audiofile :/

  • I've shown my friend this video and he was like " now any body could be daft punk.". Nit at all. I'm think about it. Yeah this guy recreated the song, but he had a refrence to go about it. Imagine how TB and GM did it? They had to have heard the original and go like, "this part totally matches up with this little part that went before it."

  • sampling is harder to create anything worth listening to as you're limited to manipulating only one sound. modern producers who shy away from samples have so much more options to create sound, and their creations often can't hold a candle to anything that daft punk has masterfully produced

  • any one who ever though daft punk took the easy way out by sampleing...fuck off

  • @silveryflow

    it's abelton live 6

  • DAFT PUNK FOR3V3R!!!

  • Someone left automatic Windows Updates on. :-P

  • Get a MAC yo! but dope video, thumbs up all day.

  • Impressive!

  • Ahh its all so easy now, i can make a hit song...not

  • I did this with Cola Bottle Baby, and I mixed the voices, and you know what I heard? I heard a robot voice (not the same as HBFS), saying, "Work it, make it, do it, makes us" oFTo

  • if you put the pitch down a little more, you will get the exact sound as daft punk

  • While it's easy for us to recreate now, imagine doing this with the equipment they had.

  • if you need help again with this,

    play this One M0:00re Time

  • wish i could find a tutorial for fl studio

  • How are you highlighting sections? I can only do that in Audacity.

  • 15 seg of a song means, 4 fucking minutes of the same shit??

wtf, thats why i dont like this music, u only need a fucking laptop and some programs and thats it PC MAKES MUSIC FOR YOU!!

  • @escuadron401 Yes, it's that easy. When I took my kid to school this morning I left my laptop on to make me some music. I expect to have about five hit songs once I return back.

  • @escuadron401 the only job a computer does is making extraordinary sounds that gives you eargasms . Thats why music made from a computer has much more potential than some guitar jamming or whatever.

Do you really think the computer does all the melodies and picks all the sounds so they fit?

Well yeah, ur partially right: U need a laptop and you need a program... but you also have to understand music. It takes years to master any REAL software for making music.

    So stfu.

  • @deeperndeep What is the program used in movies? this program is seems to be optimized for sampling.

  • amazing. If only you discovered it before them :p

  • this has totally opened up my eyes to a knew way of thinking about production cheers m8.

    grazie

  • sounds to me like Daft Punk used the kick in the intro of this as the kick drum in One More Time...

  • somebody can teach me use ableton live? u_u

  • give a look at ableton lessons (? menu, table of lessons), they're really useful to have a start at it.

  • @TheDVNO

Youtube ableton tutorials dude, that's how I'm learning

  • @TheDVNO me

  • around the world was a sample too...the bleeps were from a song called "tthe rec room"

  • Great video!

  • Hey bro nice vid what did you press too make all the compiled clips into one clip there around 04:14 ?

  • ctrl + j

  • @ColdConceptOfficial right

click on all the selected clips and look for "consolidate" :D

  • bellissimo video, amo l'House proprio perchè sa' essere così geniale. :-)

  • great! really!

  • ha! very impressive. i really enjoyed the video. good work.

  • ....daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn

  • this video is great.. I really didnt knew how samples were used. But I have a question do daf punk do their song only with samples? dont they have musical knowledge? They just overdub with the vocoder right??

  • You have to have musical knowledge to make music using samples. It may seem "easy", but it's not. Know which samples are good ones and rearranging them to a good tune is no less harder than playing any instrument. Besides, they make their solos and vocals, which in my opinion is usually damn impressive.

  • @UnicornPow3r sampling is an art in itself

  • @UnicornPow3r Usually daft punk add their own drums, some synths and bass to the songs. And slice the samples.

  • I hope that that was a joke. Not every song they do has a sample on it. And not every track they do has vocals on them.

  • I think Around The World is original, but you have to have musical knowledge to make samples sound good.

  • it isnt musical knowledge, just technical skill..

D16 group has an excellent emulation of 80 drummachines (algorithmes and bitcrushing)

  • @32JSE in around the world they used their older songs as the basis well not theirs but guy manuels older stuff. they based it on "holiday on ice"

  • bellissimo video, complimenti davvero!

    :)

  • Lo so,CamStudio, però qu sembra qiù scorrevole....

  • boh, non lo so perchè...

  • cmq non hai ancora votato per la battaglia... -.-

  • dude, ur a pro...plus, 5/5.

  • deeperndeep Very nice job!

    cheers ;)

  • I have Live 8, and it's better!

  • wtf awesome!!!!

  • You are the man

  • YOU ARE ONE MAD CUNT

  • how to make one more time in just under 6 minuites. i luv it lol. and im a big fan of daft punk

  • The first sample actually comes a little bit late in the track, its not from the first brass hit you hear.

Listen to the whole track at 123bpm, and the sample will scream out at you when you hear it.

  • i will listen to it as soon as possible, thanks

  • just a small thing, you are in "beat" warp mode, bad idea for samples, the complexe mode is better. or tone mode. ; )

  • @Ibonnaz: glad you enjoyed, many thanks for the advice!

  • the first time i see a perfect remake of one more time with the original sample ! perfect ! good job !

  • Good demonstration. Ableton really seems to be the tool for the creation from samples.
